**What do you like best about DefenseStorm?**

I love the team at DS, they are always so polite and quick to respond. Whenever I need assistance, they are always there with answers. The interface is quite easy to navigate however I don't use GRID that often.

**What do you dislike about DefenseStorm?**

Still having a hard time with the querying and understanding the logs in DS. I tend to stary from GRID when there's a ticket open and look in the firewall instead as it can become very overwhelming very fast. Therefore, I don't use DS that often, only when a ticket is opened.

**What problems is DefenseStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DS allows us to somewhat sit back and relax while they handle all the lower-level alerts. We only need to step into action when something is of high risk or if something seems out of place. This makes our day to day a lot easier to manage allowing us to focus on other things.

**What do you like best about DefenseStorm?**

We are a relatively new client of theirs. One of the reasons that I chose them over other options was that they work exclusively work with financial institutions which allows them to focus on the unique requirements, regulations and needs of that industry. Their on-boarding team was great to work with. I had some concerns about noise and false alerts, but they have the system very well tuned and I did not have any issues with false alerts. My experience so far has been great.

I don't have any dislikes. They have been very helpful

The evolving role of AI in the industry. The ability to run queries using  natural language.

**What do you like best about DefenseStorm?**

The direct customer interaction. They are always willing to adapt and provide what we need for the solutions we have with them. The onboarding was smooth. We have always had very qualified support people that have assisted with what we have needed. We have ongoing touch points instead of being signed up and forgotten. Their solutions have exceeded expectations.

**What do you dislike about DefenseStorm?**

I don’t have any dislikes with Defense Storm.

**What problems is DefenseStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the risk module. Helping to bring everything together in one place. Making it much smoother to manage frameworks,assessments and evidence which will pay off tremendously when preparing for audits. 
With GRID. A resource that allows us to investigate activity and correlate and remediate gaps in our programs and then to provide a level of assurance that controls are effective.

What makes DefenseStorm so good is the people. Everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

In my experience, there is nothing I dislike about DefenseStorm.

DefenseStorm helps me monitor my network and look for anomalies that may be missed due to having a small team. The benefit of having DefenseStorm as my 24x7x365 SOC is invaluable.

**What do you like best about DefenseStorm?**

They have alerted us to several potential issues before they became actual issues. Their staff are knowledgeable and helpful when you need them, which you hope is never. It may sound simple, but it is really easy to find information in the events view - no syntax knowledge required. Ultimately, what I like best about them is that I do not have to interact with them much, but when I do, it is for a valid reason.

**What do you dislike about DefenseStorm?**

Nothing core to their main services we utilize. There are some growing pains in other areas that are related to SIEM/SOC that are not present in larger vendors. But I feel the focus on financials offsets that for now.

**What problems is DefenseStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DefenseStorm directly offsets an internal SOC for a fraction of the cost and headache.

I also really value the structured approach of our monthly review meetings, where we go over our data from the previous month. These sessions provide great insights and help us stay proactive. Overall, the company and its employees do a fantastic job. I’m very glad we chose to partner with them.

Honestly, I can’t think of anything I dislike. The experience has been consistently positive.

DefenStorm was just what we were looking for. A true co-managed solution with awesome support. Implementation and integration was dead simple.The friendly staff is always available to help setup reports, queries, and answer questions in a timely fashion.

**What do you dislike about DefenseStorm?**

Executive reporting is lacking. you can get all the details you would ever want but their dashboards make it difficult to distill down to an executive summary that is easy to interpenetrate for those not involved in day-to-day IT operations. They have been making some progress in this area so hoping this changes soon.

I like the reporting that DefenseStorm gives me. I am able to not only see unexpected activity, they will point out baseline level of activity that I can easily see for myself.

Documentation for setup of APIs is lacking. Our previous SIEM had excellent documentation of how to connect another product.

DefenseStorm will notify us anytime of the day of a major event. We also gave them the permission to shut down compromised systems in the event of an emergency.

We love that DefenseStorm is always there to support us and monitor our events 24/7.  Their support is excellent and are constantly improving their product and offering to make us stronger.  They only work with banking and financial institutions and have great knowledge of governance and the regulatory landscape we face.

Their asset discovery/identification system we couldn't really use or rely on but other than that their product is great.

We love the ability to aggregate all our logs and data sources into one system.  We have never had a system that they can't ingest the logs for.

The response time for notifying us of any abnormal behaviors. They are able to pick up on events that we wouldn't think important.

Sometimes we receive too many notifications. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something we need to be aware of when we make domain level changes.

**What problems is DefenseStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DefenseStorm does a fantastic job gathering logs from all of our devices and makes sense out of them. The reporting we receive is outstanding and we've been able to devote the time required to sift thru logs to more productive items.

Easy to ingest events.  Very flexible and easy to use.

Initially had unlimited ingestion.  Now it's limited and you need to may more.  but we haven't run into a limit yet.

We are using it for our main SEIM.  It's very easy to investigate issues and track tickets in the system.  It's very nice to have their analysts looking at alerts as well.

D-Storm is really a force multiplier that we can rely on.  Their always a call or ticket away with and address everything in a timely and precise manner.

**What do you dislike about DefenseStorm?**

The asset discovery is still pretty wonky to me and the frameworks are ok, they do not provide much for reporting on results.  NIST CSF - should included current and target profiles as well.

SIEM solution that provides actionable recommendations on IOC and IOA that should be reviewed - not a boil the ocean approach.

DefenseStorm takes care of it's clients.  They listen, they are willing to help you with initiatives without looking at them as a sales opportunity.

They can't take all of the ease out of security framework mapping and task management, it still takes a lot of effort.

The cost to have information security analyst in house is high.  DefenseStorm's model augments our staff and provides us access to high level skillsets we don't have.

Defensestorm's focus on financial institutions and governance frameworks. These impress our regulators.

**What do you dislike about DefenseStorm?**

I don't have complaints or concerns about Defensestorm. I would like to put more of our resources on it, but that is not their issue.

We need to demonstrate active monitoring of our systems and a hosted SIEM is our best option. One focused on financial institutions makes the decission easier.

The fact that they specialize and only server FI's made this an easy decision for our company.  They are very knowledgeable about our requirements and work through issues to resolution.  Highly recommended.

I'd say the only downside is that the querying takes some time to learn, but once past that, there are not many to speak of.

Dedicated comprehensive solution for FI's and Compliance. Good support when we need it and they go above for things out of the ordinary. Once setup, little micro-management needed. Only have to log in unless I specifically need to do something.
