"Forced to leave a good review, then they cut my lifetime credits."

What do you like best about Decktopus?

While the original text-to-slide generation and template library initially offered a fast way to build presentation decks, any positive utility is completely wiped out by the company's predatory business practices. It is impossible to find anything to 'like best' about a platform that breaks its legal agreements, strips away promised lifetime credits, and locks core functionality behind new paywalls just to force early backers into a monthly subscription Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Decktopus?

They must immediately stop exploiting early adopters and honor the original lifetime deal agreements by restoring the promised AI credits, feature access, and data export capabilities. Decktopus needs to improve its business ethics by focusing on genuine product innovation to win new monthly subscribers, rather than retroactively locking original backers behind sudden paywalls to force them into paying twice for the same software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Presentation Creation, Seamless Brand Consistency"
5/5
What do you like best about Decktopus?

I really like the brand import feature in Decktopus because it's important to get consistency in presentations. It saves me time since I don't have to set up the look and feel from scratch each time. I can bring in the design once, and it's consistently applied, which helps me focus on the messaging rather than formatting every slide. Additionally, I like how quickly I can work with it. The initial setup was very easy and quick, and I would describe the setup process as straightforward. I also appreciate that it's pretty simple to set up integrations like with Zapier, which helps automate repetitive tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Decktopus?

Like anything AI, it isn't 100% perfect. So if I'm creating something very specific, very technical, very linked to my feature or product, then I do usually make a few edits before I'm fully happy with the final version. And one other thing is flexibility over some of the design details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of those tools that quietly becomes a part of your workflow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Decktopus?

I usually create a lot of product content that eventually needs to become presentation decks for launches, webinars, and internal training. What I like the most about this is that I no longer have to stare at a blank slide/screen anymore. I usually start with an AI-generated draft, then make a few changes, and its already in a much better place than if Id started from scratch. It lets me focus on getting the message right instead of worrying about slide layouts and creatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Decktopus?

If I'm working on a very technical topic, I normally rewrite a few sections so that the wordings match our internal documentations. That's really normal with AI tools though and its still much easier than creating the entire thing myself from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quickly Generates Presentation Drafts and Cuts Repetitive Slide Work"
5/5
What do you like best about Decktopus?

I spend a lot of time putting together presentations for campaigns, outreach ideas, reports, and partnership meetings. What I like most is how quickly I can get a presentation started. Instead of building every slide myself, I can generate a draft, adjust the messaging, and move on. It makes the whole process feel much less repetitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Decktopus?

I usually make a few edits before sharing a presentation, especially if it's for an external audience. Every now and then I'll regenerate a section if the first version isn't quite what I had in mind, but that's still quicker than starting with a blank presentation. "Buggy Updates Ruin the Experience"
0.5/5
What do you like best about Decktopus?

I used to like that I was able to create easy and beautiful presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Decktopus?

It's super buggy and unfriendly to use. Sometimes it crashes when trying to edit something. Everything is very clunky. When you duplicate something, it partly covers the duplicated part, but the duplicated items aren't selected, so you need to click them one by one. You used to be able to marquee select elements in earlier versions, but not anymore. After spending hours creating a presentation, it doesn't even work. Random template slides appear in between, which makes it impossible to present. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Product, Absolutely Horrific Experience"
0/5
What do you like best about Decktopus?

I made the mistake of buying a license through AppSumo (not PitchGround, but thanks for the confusion anyway). The product? Solid. The support and management? A complete dumpster fire.

I was offered “unlimited seats” — emphasis on unlimited, not 500, not 20, not ‘write to us every time you want one like you’re begging for favors.’ When I tried to use the offer (you know, the one YOU made me directly), suddenly nobody could find my payment, there were “technical issues,” and I had to send a small novel’s worth of screenshots just to be treated like a real customer.

After dozens of emails, inconsistent terms, and seat limits that changed like the weather, I’m still unable to issue even ONE license to someone else — two years later. And now you’re telling me I accepted some PitchGround terms I never even saw?

Yes, the software works. But the experience of dealing with your team has been so miserable, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I requested a refund — not because the product sucks, but because I never want to have to contact your support team again in my life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
