"DbGate: powerful, flexible, and easy for managing multiple databases"
5/5
What do you like best about DbGate?

I was testing DbGate and honestly, it surprised me quite a bit. It's a very comprehensive tool for managing databases, especially if you work with different engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.). The interface is quite clear and doesn't feel heavy like other alternatives, which is already a strong point.

Something I really liked is that you can work both with SQL queries and with a graphical interface, so it works whether you like to go straight to the query or prefer something more visual. It also has good options for exporting data, editing tables, and even generating diagrams, which makes daily work much easier.

As for performance, it behaves well even with large databases, and I didn't have any connection problems or weird issues. Additionally, being open source, it scores points because there are always improvements and a community behind it.

In summary, it's a very good option if you're looking for a free, powerful, and quite flexible tool to manage databases without too much hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DbGate: Easy Setup, Essential for Database Management"
5/5
What do you like best about DbGate?

I've been using DbGate for 6 years now, and it has become my go-to tool for inspecting MySQL, Postgres, and SQLite databases. I was happy to see more connectors like DuckDB. I LOVE the SSH tunnel access, as I can easily access my production environment in read-only or write mode with a proper color system. I manage my access via the folder group. From time to time, showing some of my colleagues a view of the database with the auto diagram is useful. I love that it's one central point to connect to multiple databases, meaning I don't have to install other tools. It's close to what I liked in MySQL Browser, but when Postgres became part of my workflow, I moved everything to DbGate years ago, and I don't regret it! I find it super easy to install and use. What do you dislike about DbGate?

I was sad to see that the MongoDB connector is behind a license, and as an open source developer, I sometimes use MongoDB, but this has not been enough to justify a license. This is really missing in the open source world. MongoDB support as open source, the world is missing a good connector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Quick and Friendly Solution for DB Management"
5/5
What do you like best about DbGate?

I really like the speed of DbGate, its modern and user-friendly environment, and the way databases are managed without the need to navigate through many windows or options. I find it fast and easy, especially when writing code and reviewing T-SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server. I also appreciate the quick and easy autocomplete, and the convenience it offers when analyzing the logic and codes that go into production. Additionally, the installation was very simple and quick on both Arch Linux and Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DbGate: Versatile, Fast, and Open-Source—ER Diagrams Could Be Smoother"
4/5
What do you like best about DbGate?

Been using DbGate for a few months now to manage our PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases, and I'm really impressed with how well it handles multiple database types in one clean interface. The SQL editor is fast with great autocomplete, and I love the Excel-like data filtering that makes finding specific records super quick. Schema comparison tool is incredibly useful for keeping dev and production environments in sync. The cross-platform support works flawlessly on both my Linux workstation and colleagues Windows machines.

Overall, it's become my go-to database tool, especially since it's open-source and supports both SQL and NoSQL databases without any extra cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbGate?

One minor downside is that the ER diagram visualization could be more polished - it gets cluttered pretty quickly with larger schemas and lacks some of the advanced layout options you'd find in dedicated modeling tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, lightweight PostgreSQL client that beats pgAdmin for daily work"
5/5
What do you like best about DbGate?

I use DbGate for PostgreSQL on Windows. It’s fast to start, the SQL editor is snappy with autocomplete and query history, and switching between code and results is instant. Tabs make multi-query work easy. The data grid handles inline edits, quick filters and copy/export to CSV/JSON/Excel without fuss. I like the simple object browser, saved connection profiles, sensible keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and SSL support. Working across multiple servers, databases and schemas is smooth and predictable, which saves time every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbGate?

price for Peremium :)

A few niceties are still missing: stronger built-in schema diff/compare, richer EXPLAIN/plan visuals, and optional cloud sync for connection profiles. Role/permission management is basic. None of these are blockers, but they would round out the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Why do I like dbgate"
4/5
What do you like best about DbGate?

First of all, dbgate supports a wide range of databases

Secondly, it is extremely convenient for retrieval. At the same time, it performs very well in batch data modification and is really easy to edit in daily data maintenance

And his additional functions, data comparison, and table structure comparison are all very important reasons why I like him

Moreover, the latest update has also added the field descriptions of the database tables. I love it so much Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DbGate?

Currently, dbgate is very much in line with my usage habits. At present, it would be even better if it could provide more support in the design of the ER diagram of the database Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
