"One of the best antibot protection in the market"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

If you are looking for a secure, GDPR compliant, and UX friendly CATPCHA, DataDome is the tool every company should have!

DataDome is one of the best actor is the antibot solution. Their AI motor and rules detections enables ot detect most of the subtle attack that others security tools cannot detect. It is a great complementary solution with other security tool that you can have in your architecture.

The SaaS platform where you can find all the metrics and setup the endpoints is easy to use.

The positive aspect of DataDome is when it is setup, you can used it with an audit mode to confirm its benefits, without impacting your existing applications. And when you are ready, you just have to toggle a button to activate the blocking mode. CATPCHA is combined with others antibot solution like DeviceCheck, improving User Experience (it's transparent) while adding security for your website

DataDome is relatively easy to setup : you can install it from higher level architecture (CDN, proxy) to lower level (Server, code). You just need to implement client side a JS tag.

The Managed SOC which is proposed in their Enterprise pricing is really interesting : they can solve incident without involving their customer.

Moreover, DataDome is still evolving, proposing more and more features to adapt with the evolution in IT and the threat landscape (last example isWeb Bot Auth support). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

DataDome is working with tenant. If you need to create a lots of tenant to secure a large IS park, the switching between each tenant could be a mess. DataDome needs to improve on this. the RBAC is also dependant on each tenant. A mutualized configuration panel could be very interesting, which we can configure users role and access to tenant by this single page.

Extracting data from Datadome Dashboard is limited to a certain volume, which can need DataDome assistance to get extract for massive attack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DataDome Delivers Powerful Bot Protection with Actionable Intelligence"
5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

What I like best about DataDome is its ability to accurately detect and mitigate sophisticated automated threats without creating friction for legitimate users. We evaluated it against a wide range of bot activity, including advanced AI-driven bots, credential stuffing attacks, account takeover attempts, scraping, and other evasive automation techniques, and the detection quality has been consistently impressive.

The AI and threat intelligence capabilities stand out. DataDome continuously adapts to evolving bot behavior, which is critical because attackers constantly change their techniques. Rather than relying solely on static signatures, the platform analyzes behavioral signals and risk indicators in real time, allowing it to identify threats that traditional bot defenses often miss.

From a UI/UX perspective, the dashboard provides clear visibility into bot traffic, attack trends, mitigation actions, and threat classifications. Security, operations, and engineering teams can quickly understand what is happening without spending hours digging through logs. The reporting and analytics have significantly reduced investigation time during bot-related incidents.

The integration experience was straightforward. We were able to deploy and integrate DataDome with our existing security and traffic management ecosystem with minimal disruption. The platform began delivering value quickly, which helped accelerate adoption across teams.

Performance has been another strong area. Bot mitigation occurs with minimal impact on legitimate user experience, page performance, or application availability. This is especially important for high-traffic e-commerce environments where security controls cannot come at the expense of customer experience.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, DataDome has delivered substantial value. By reducing malicious traffic, credential stuffing attempts, scraping activity, and other automated attacks, it helps protect revenue, reduce infrastructure consumption, improve data quality, and minimize the operational effort required to investigate bot-related issues. The return on investment becomes very clear when you consider both the direct and indirect costs associated with automated abuse.

The support and onboarding experience has also been excellent. The DataDome team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive in helping us optimize protections, review attack patterns, and fine-tune policies when needed.

One unexpected benefit was the visibility gained into the scale and sophistication of automated traffic targeting our digital properties. Beyond simply blocking bots, DataDome provided valuable intelligence that helped us better understand attacker behavior and improve our overall security posture.

Overall, DataDome has become a critical part of our security strategy by delivering strong bot protection, actionable intelligence, excellent performance, and measurable business value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

There is very little to dislike about DataDome based on our UI experience. If I had to identify an area for improvement, I would like to see more AI-powered self-service capabilities within the dashboard. For example, having an intelligent assistant and AI chatbot that can automatically answer questions and generate dashboard, charts, trends etc.,

That said, these are relatively minor suggestions rather than significant shortcomings. The core value proposition—accurate bot detection, protection against sophisticated automated attacks, credential stuffing prevention, and low-friction mitigation for legitimate users—is exceptionally strong. The platform delivers on its primary mission extremely well, which is why these improvement requests are more about enhancing an already mature product than addressing major gaps. "Strong solution to unwanted bots/crawlers"
5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

Compared to other competitors, DataDome’s documentation is very thorough, well written, and includes everything you need to get started. The support team is also very responsive and professional; most of the technical questions we had were answered during the initial call.

The initial setup was very fast. It only took a few hours to complete the configurations, followed by a few days of traffic analysis with help from the support team.

I also like how DataDome integrates with existing infrastructure, with both server-side integrations (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, HAProxy, Varnish, Nginx, Apache, etc.) and client-side integrations (JavaScript, Android SDK, iOS SDK, etc.).

We are using the solutions for three years now and we did not experience any outages during this time. Their false-positive rate is very low and their support dept is very responsive.

They are constantly improving their UI/UX and keep track of customer recommendations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

I’d like to have multiple alerting mechanisms in place for whenever I’m approaching the request-count threshold. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Bot Protection with Personalized Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

I like that DataDome does a good job preventing DDOS and scraping attacks on our website, and I was impressed with how well their models detect malicious traffic. I appreciate the three bot prevention mechanisms, which are less to more invasive depending on the threat levels, and the really nice bot protection experiences like interstitial, slide captchas, and hard blocks. The onboarding process was very nice, and our customer support rep is diligent in getting things up and running. Tuning alerts is something they've been very helpful with. The initial setup was very straightforward, and they came up with a custom solution to transfer from one vendor to another without dropping bot protection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

We tried their other products, such as Login Protect, and found it did not do a great job with our company's use case. For Bot Protect, while they do a good job with general traffic, there was at least a month or two where we had to comb our own traffic and find spikes, and inform them about it. Ultimately, they don't really understand your traffic, or how people use your website and need a lot of guidance and personal investment to make sure it's working well, but it's generally worth the effort. "great solution for protection against bots & scrapers"
5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

Datadome has proven to be an effective solution for bot prevention. One of the aspects we value most is its clear and intuitive user interface, which simplifies daily management tasks. The web interface enhances our ability to analyze traffic by providing detailed visibility into requests, allowing us to quickly detect and address new patterns of bot activity. Since implementing Datadome, we have experienced a significant decrease in false positives when blocking legitimate users, leading to a better user experience and less strain on our support team. Additionally, the support team stands out for being highly responsive, knowledgeable, and always available whenever we require assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

Unfortunately, Datadome is not a budget-friendly option, and I found the integration process to be rather challenging, taking a considerable amount of time to finish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Invisible Protection Bot, Perfect Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

I like the fact that DataDome's analysis is completely invisible to a legitimate user, which means there is no impact on traffic and commerce. DataDome helps us limit costs by cleaning up traffic, and our technical infrastructure is perfectly protected and sized for the commerce it is supposed to handle. The integration with our acceleration/CDN solution Fasterize goes well, and the initial installation encountered no problems. Protection against bots and malicious traffic has become a full-fledged profession. It is not possible to have this technical capability, monitoring capacity, or responsiveness to constantly evolving threats internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

The term "does not like" is too strong. An AI-based assistance in the back office dashboards to interpret the presented metrics. As non-specialists, some elements may seem obscure. For example, on a graph or the display of an element, one could request help/analysis with a presentation in 'plain language'. (must have) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DataDome Delivers Smooth, Effective Bot Protection with an Easy-to-Use Console"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

DataDome has proven very effective at detecting and blocking content-scraping bots. Its detection capabilities appear to rely on a mix of static signatures and sophisticated AI models, supported by extensive intelligence sources.

Integration was fairly smooth thanks to a ready-to-use SDK for common technology stacks. The onboarding process was supported by the DataDome team, and their support has been cooperative overall—responding to feedback and maintaining a genuine two-way conversation.

Day-to-day operation is not complicated. The management console is powerful while still being easy to use. It’s also fair to say we didn’t experience any significant latency after adding this additional component, and performance remained smooth.

That said, the price tag is rather steep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

I think DataDome strikes a sophisticated balance between low false positives, low latency, and effective detection capabilities. Overall, the technical solution delivers a very good experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive but Improvable Ecommerce Protection"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

I love the intuitive interface of DataDome, and the ease with which one can find the necessary information such as endpoints, custom rules, and logs. DataDome also allows for very quick visualization of what is happening across all incoming traffic of different sites, which I find particularly useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

In the suggestions, allow the user the possibility to work/customize the available KPIs further, which is not currently possible, and to create a custom KPI view per user. Also, the possibility to view logs in "raw" mode, similar to Elastic search. Additionally, the possibility to whitelist internal users/contractors via a key or a cookie that could be managed directly in the interface without going through custom rules. Lengthy due to the uncertainties of web and mobile app configurations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DataDome: rapid deployment, intuitive dashboards, and ultra-responsive support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

What I appreciate most about DataDome is its simplicity and speed of implementation. The solution integrates easily and allows for quick results. The dashboards are clear and intuitive, which makes daily monitoring and analysis easier. Finally, the support is a real strong point: always very responsive, with relevant answers tailored to our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

To date, I have not identified any real negative points. The few areas for improvement raised in the past have been quickly addressed by the teams. For example, an improvement was made to the Explore section, where the readability of the responses was not optimal at first glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective bot management solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DataDome?

DataDome Bot Protect is a very mature and effective bot management solution, best used as a complement to a WAF.

Detection quality is excellent, with a consistently low false positive rate on high‑traffic B2B ecommerce platforms, which is critical from a business standpoint.

The product has evolved significantly over the past years, with regular improvements and new capabilities that clearly show ongoing investment and roadmap execution.

It adapts well to new classes of automated traffic and evolving bot behaviors while remaining stable in production.

Integration is straightforward thanks to solid native connectors and APIs.

Support is responsive, technically skilled, and able to engage at an architectural level; French‑speaking support is also a strong plus for European teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DataDome?

Pricing can become a challenge over time as traffic scales, and cost governance requires continuous attention in high‑volume environments.

Client‑side integration is strongly recommended for optimal efficiency; relying on server‑side protection alone may be limiting for some API‑centric or machine‑to‑machine use cases.

Data retention remains relatively short, which can make long‑term trend analysis harder without exporting data to external systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
