When I was learning databases, I have worked on the MySQL platform, and it was an excellent experience, and literally, I enjoyed doing it. And now, when we are doing multiple things with the Azure platform, and yes, it is providing various types of databases to us, MYSQL is one of them; I'm personally very much satisfied with this. To work with Azure MYSQL, there is no issue of security, it is very easy going. For me, it is very easy to understand, learn and one can become an expert with this. Can create and setup any database in less the 20 mins. That is of course what you expect from this kind of service. It also offers great monitoring tools on the dashboard so you can see real time usage. **What do you dislike about Database as a Service (DBaaS)?** There nothing to dislike in particular. But azure is known for offering premium service, which they really are with great speed and up time. But that does come at a price. The cheapest database I could spawn was for around 20 USD per month which compared to other services is quite high. Having said this it does not put me off using their services as they are good and reliable. **What problems is Database as a Service (DBaaS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** The other option is to this service is to create a VPS service and host the code and DB on the same server. With this service its way safer and faster. There is less to go wrong and if your VPS does go down you dont loose your data and can spin up another server with the code very fast. ### 35.
