What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

Pretty steep learning curve, complex setup and difficult to adapt, and quite high price tag compared to other providers. System can sometimes run slowly with heavy document generation. Support is good, but scales with tiers.. I have not used their AI functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Salesforce Integration with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Conga Composer?

I like the fact that Composer is tightly integrated into Salesforce and the integration is seamless enough that the whole layer is completely transparent to the user. Pricing is not an issue at the moment because we are on a bundled package, but this might change in the future. No complaints about the performance and the support is outstanding. UI/UX is as an end user is not an issue since its transparent, but for a composer admin, it could be better, especially with the parts around using MS Office to create templates, which is always a bugbear. No comments on AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

Using MS Office to create templates - always a headache working on tables, mergefields and adjusting spacing. Also, I always forget where do I get the mergefields to add to templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Template Updates in Salesforce, But Some Difficulty Remains"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Conga Composer?

I like that it’s fairly easy to update existing templates by simply replacing the template file with an updated version. We use it with Salesforce, and all we have to do is replace the file on the template object; everything else then updates automatically for any documents generated going forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

I dislike how difficult it is to create entirely new templates in Salesforce. There are several slightly confusing steps, and it often requires creating multiple records just to set up a single template, including adding a button on the Salesforce record so you can use that template to generate new documents. That said, once everything is set up, updating existing templates is super easy and worth the complicated setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Salesforce Document Generation with Consistent, High-ROI Reporting"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conga Composer?

We have integrated Conga Composer with Salesforce. What I like best about Conga Composer is how it simplifies document generation and its performance, making it efficient for our team. In our project management setup, we use it for project sizing and estimating different parameters, and it helps us quickly generate structured Word documents like PSR reports. This saves a lot of manual effort and ensures consistency in reporting, giving us the best ROI. It also makes it easier for the team to track expenses and key project metrics in one place, which improves overall visibility and decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

One thing I feel could be improved in Conga Composer is the time it takes to generate reports at times, especially for something like PSR reports, which can feel a bit slower than expected. Also, while customization is possible, I think there’s room to make it more flexible and user-friendly. It would be great if end users had more control to easily enhance the look and feel of the generated reports, so teams can customize them better according to their specific needs without too much effort. "Effortless Document Automation, Unifies Templates"
5/5
What do you like best about Conga Composer?

I use Conga Composer to automate our document generation out of Salesforce, allowing me to instantly create complex documents like client quotes and logistics manifests without repetitive manual work. It saves me a lot of time by automating tasks and helps unify our internal templates. I like the ease of pulling different data and reports from various sources, and Conga compiles it for me effortlessly, which is a great help with complex data processing. Instead of having multiple windows and reports open, Conga acts like a smart assistant and eliminates lots of human errors. The initial setup was very easy, straightforward, and user-friendly. "An Easy-to-Use and Reliable Document Generation Tool"
4/5
What do you like best about Conga Composer?

As a Salesforce Developer working on implementing document generation, I find this tool simple and intuitive to use. Once the initial setup is complete, it’s easy to experiment with queries and templates to build useful solutions. The option to upload local templates is especially helpful for creating high-quality templates and speeding up testing. From an end-user perspective, the ability to use customized templates adds a lot of flexibility and value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

Multi-level nesting within tables is not supported, and dynamically adding or removing table columns is not possible. Additionally, the error messages are not always descriptive, which can make debugging difficult at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Conga Composer?

Conga Composer saves a lot of time by automatically creating documents from Salesforce data. It helps reduce manual errors, keeps documents consistent, and makes it easy to generate things like quotes, contracts, and proposals with just a few clicks. It can be a bit complex to set up, but once its running, it's a huge time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

The setup can be pretty complicated, especially for more advanced templates. It also takes some time to learn, and troubleshooting can be frustrating when something doesn't work as expected. Once it's set up though, it works really well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automates Proposals Seamlessly, But Be Ready for Initial Complexity"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Conga Composer?

I really like how Conga Composer automates the entire process of generating and distributing sales proposals directly within our CRM. It completely removes the manual burden from the sales team, allowing them to focus on closing deals. The software solves the issue of manual document errors and sales friction, eliminating any 'copy-paste' mistakes in proposals and ensuring 100% branding consistency. The feature that stands out to me the most is the conditional logic, which is a lifesaver. Templates can automatically include specific legal clauses or case studies based on the industry and region of the prospect. This means the sales team doesn’t have to remember to add them, saving time and reducing errors. It also streamlines repetitive tasks, cutting the time to generate a complex contract from over half an hour to just a single click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Conga Composer?

As an administrator, the initial setup can be quite a deep dive. To get the proposals 'pixel-perfect,' you have to become very comfortable with composer parameters. The documentation is extensive, but there is definitely a learning curve to mastering the syntax for advanced behaviors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
