"Great Project Management Tool - Even better Support/Account Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

The software itself is extremely powerful and I am only starting to understand fully it's capabilities, however it is very exciting to hear of the things that are available now, and possibly improvements further down the line to assist my firm in using the software to it's best capabilities. What do you dislike about CMap?

One drawback I have noticed early on whilst trying to create my own reports in Report Builder is that it's not possible to combine and cross reference information and date if they lie within two or more different Data Sets, that is a frustration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CMAP Makes Tracking Time, Expenses, and Budgets Effortless"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

CMAP is a very easy to use tool that allows you to track timekeeping, reimbursable expenses, project budgets, and more. The interface is easy to use and everything is interconnected making it a very robust tracking tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The reporting functionality needs work. It takes a bit of trial and error in the system to create custom reports that do what you want. It isnt as straightforward in creating the reports Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"CMap: Intuitive All-in-One Project Management That Keeps Improving"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

CMap provides an all in one space for project management. It is user friendly and quite intuitive, making it easy to pick up and train new users on. There are also regular updates and improvements, so the platform is always adapting to better suit our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

Sometimes the updates are hard coded and do not match the way our company operates. For example, a recent roll out has been the automatic notifications if project % complete hasnt been updated by the end of the month. It would be more helpful if we could change the date this notification goes out so it is sent a few days before the end of the month to allow time for action. We have an internal deadline of the 25th of the month, and it would be nice if we could make CMap match this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great project management and finance integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

Very handy to have so many elements of the business connected in one piece of software. Updating one piece of data updates throughout the system. The link with Xero and with our document control in CMap PIM strengthens this. Support is also generally very quick to come back and resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

We’ve had some issues with CMap not being able to produce the exact reports we need to monitor our profitability and productivity. However, CMap representatives are meeting with us to discuss and understand our needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Navigation, Room for Performance Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

I find CMap easy to navigate and have never had any problems with it. I enjoy seeing the jobs that have been worked on and viewing client information. The all-in-one pricing is great, and it's hard to miss anything, so it keeps me on top of everything I need to do, including knowing how much time tasks have left. Setting it up was very easy too; everything was there and ready for us to use right when we logged on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

There is quite a big lag problem, and sometimes it's very slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive, easy to use with responsive Support/AM Teams"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

The Support and Account Management teams are very helpful and responsive. I rarely have problems with trying to access or work with CMap, and if there are ever any downtimes, they're resolved quickly.

It integrates with QuickBooks and cuts down on the workload we have to do there.

It's keeping up with new technology and I like the focus on AI, some of the functionality isn't quite right for us but it's good to see how this might progress.

I find it easy to use, and recent improvements have made clunky tasks better, such as finding options in dropdowns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

When creating pages it can be a bit time-consuming. It would be nice to have more options here. Such as when you add a new field, for you to be able to select the Field Group you want it to sit under instead of dragging and dropping. I also find that sometimes it doesn't let you order the fields in a particular order, and will revert changes you've already made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform with Great HR Tracking"
4.5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

I like that CMap is easy to use, especially considering it's a huge platform. It's quite self-explanatory, and new starters pick it up quickly. I find it easier to work out holiday details and track them both in the present and for the future, which is great from an HR point of view. I also use a lot of CMap's reports, like the time off report and late timesheet report, which are valuable as I'm working with other teams, like finance and project management, to create their reports. The initial setup worked out well, even though it involved a lot of spreadsheets and inputting details for 70 employees, there were barely any faults with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

The custom report function is so difficult to use, but the team is always on it. It is a lot harder than sometimes it needs to be. For example, from an HR perspective, I want to work out how much holiday they've taken currently and how much they've got booked for the rest of the year, but it's not always straightforward because we have different subheadings like sick leave, maternity leave, and paternity leave, all considered in one big spreadsheet. The spreadsheets, when exported from CMap, are too confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great solution for multi-entity medium-sized consultanties. Powerful fee-building tools, resourcing, and reporting capabilities."
4/5
What do you like best about CMap?

Three features stand out in CMap. Firstly, the Fee Estimator. This powerful tool gives a lot of funtion and flexibility to pricing jobs. While it can be complex at first, once you wrap your head around it you can save a lot of time not dealing with excel based pricing tools. This also leads into the resourcing, once you have priced a job, the resourcing feature build off the back of your fee estimator and again can save you a lot of time repeating work. These 2 features work well together. Lastly, i'm starting to utilise the reporting and dashboards tools now we are onboarded. Even though they too can be a bit complicated at first, once you understand how they work, they become super helpful, providing lots of insights and value. Another great thing is CMAP's capability to manage our five different entities/ offices. This allows us to do reporting on all of them within the same system, which is incredibly useful. Also, CMAP has significantly reduced the need for paper forms and emails for setting up projects, allowing project managers to directly input details into the system, which has been really useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

I think the invoicing, crediting, expenses, and purchase orders features are kind of complex and they don't offer as much flexibility as previous tools I've used. The invoicing in particular could be improved. There are a few small nuances which at first were really frustrating, nowever now having used the tool for a few months ive got my head around it and can deal with them. Having to set up templates for everything was also a bit of a pain. Better preset templates for would probably help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Interface, Boosts Project Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about CMap?

I like that the CMap interface is easy to use. The time sheets and expenses features are also easy to use. I find it very useful to be able to copy the previous week's time sheet data and see only the live projects that I have entered time into. For expenses, it's beneficial to have an open expense entry that I can add to and submit at a later date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

We don't use the function to apply specific people to projects enough because it's too difficult to maintain and manage. It's not really a fault of the software, but more about the time it takes to implement that functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Visibility Across Projects and Straightforward Time Tracking"
4/5
What do you like best about CMap?

What I like best about CMap is the visibility it gives me across projects and how easy it is to manage my time recording. As a civil engineer working across multiple projects, being able to quickly see live projects, track the time I've spent, and complete timesheets in one place makes day-to-day administration much more efficient.

I also find it useful for understanding where my time is being allocated across different projects and tasks. This helps me manage my workload better and gives project managers a clearer picture of resource allocation and project progress.

The system is straightforward to use, and having project information and time tracking in a single platform reduces the need to switch between different tools. Overall, CMap has helped streamline administrative tasks and improved visibility of both project activity and personal utilisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CMap?

ne area where CMap could be improved is the user interface. While it is functional and contains the information I need, some sections can feel dated and require multiple clicks to access commonly used information. A more streamlined layout and navigation would make day-to-day use more efficient.

There are also occasions where finding specific project information or reports can take longer than expected, particularly when working across multiple projects. Improved filtering and search functionality would help users locate information more quickly.

That said, these are relatively minor issues, and the system performs its core functions of project visibility and time management effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
