"ASA Firewalls are a big part of my life"

ASA firewalls are easy to administer from CLI or GUI and the syntax used to manage them has not changed much in the last 8 years. That makes for easy administration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense Virtual (formerly NGFWv)?

The ASA appliances are flexible but dated and most exploits are not stopped by blocking ports. The ASA is the equivalent of a deadbolt lock. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The new Firepower appliances are unproven but promising. They will offer at least as much protection as the ASAs they are replacing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
