I have only accessed Certifier through their free tier as part of my work overseeing professional development for parenting educators. Even then, I have greatly enjoyed the number of features I have access to at this stage. Hosting the certificates in one central location in a way I can re-issue and adjust them on the fly is a god send. A yearly total limit on certificate issuances able to be provided is an unfortunate limitation of the free plan. My organization only needs access to the most basic features on Certifier, and doesn't need access to 500+ certs per year, so we have a hard time justifying the price when we are only just barely going past the 250 per year limit. More tutorials for those advanced features may be able to convince us otherwise, but currently, for storing and sending them certifier can seem somewhat like overkill. I spoke with a client service staff within hours of making an enquiry and they were very knowledgeable and helpful. They guided me to what I needed and it was even a lower cost than I anticipated. We do trainings that require large amounts of certificates to be sent out all at one time afterward. The ability to upload a list and have the certificates instantly ready was a game changer. We also heavily utilized the tracking features for people that came back to say they never received them. I recently was able to resend a certificate a year after the conference due to the platform keeping all that information easily accessible. Certifier has significantly improved our credentialing process. What was once manual and time-consuming is now fast, accurate, and seamless. We issue a high volume of certificates for just a 1-person nonprofit department to handle and Certifier handles it all with ease.

The platform supports our multi-step workflow from requester to issuer, and the ability for non-technical staff to easily edit branded templates has been a game changer. We also rely on Certifier’s reporting for grant compliance and board updates, with valuable insights like issuance counts and open/download rates.

One enhancement that would make it even better is the ability to add attachments directly to the email when sending the certificate. This would be especially helpful for including supporting documents or additional resources alongside the certificate without having to pull up a different window. What I appreciate most about Certifier is that I no longer have to constantly monitor the process. For some time, I have managed a state-approved program that requires me to issue certificates. Previously, I struggled to find an online platform that would let me automatically issue certificates once coursework was completed, so I ended up handling this task manually. Since the certificates are time sensitive for participants, this sometimes forced me to interrupt events or give up personal time with my family to ensure certificates were sent out—especially since these are for Pre-marital Counseling, which allows students to bypass the 3-day waiting period in our state. With Certifier, the entire process is now truly hands-free. Students purchase the course, fulfill the requirements, and receive their certificates from Certifier within minutes. The credential creation process is a bit cumbersome. I wish, rather than built in templates that are not very customizeable, it was more of a drag and drop with the ability to change background colors and colors of elements. Currently, I end up having to go to canva to create a custom background image with my brand colors, then upload that, then sometimes the elements don't fit in the right spaces with the background image. Certifier is simple to use and alleviates a lot of our issues in issuing credentials regularly for training programs. It has been easily integrated into our current system, and the customer support we have received has been fantastic.
