What do you like best about Bensound?

The music does not have the tinny canned sound that a lot of free music has. Great tunes for quick social media videos with messages from school principals or just montages of student photos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our biggest problem with social media videos was violating copyright laws by using popular music. YouTube and Facebook often block certain popular songs, so to avoid violating copyrights or getting our videos pulled from social media platforms, we always try to use royalty free music. Bensound is extremely easy for you to use and has an amazing selection of music to choose from. The concept is simple and so is the website--but this is exactly what you need. Need music for a project? There are so many free sounds to choose from (just site your source), but there's also a wide variety of paid versions if you feel like you can't find what you are looking for. "Decent Selection of Royalty Free Music"

What do you like best about Bensound?

Bensound provides a decent amount of Royalty Free Music at a very reasonable cost, when compared to other similar services. In my experience (one, as a part time video editor for a church organization and two, as a full time video production teacher) I can almost always find audio beds that will match my overall edit/purpose with minimal effort. In addition, Bensound provides no-cost Royalty Free options (with proper credit given within the video and/or video description) which is extremely helpful for those in a pinch and low/no budget. What do you dislike about Bensound?

Not necessarily due to any fault of BenSound, but due to accessablity (and overall great quality) of their music beds and backing tracks, they are frequently used by many businesses and organizations in their videos (e.g. I have noticed numerous YouTube advertisements utilizing a music bed originally from Bensound... If you're looking for a very particular sound, mood, or vibe for your video production, it's good to have multiple sources for music beds at your disposal. The best thing about Bensound is the convenience. I can quickly browse through the music and pick out which one best fits my video. The free music samples are higher quality than other sites, and Bensound's filters are spot on, making it easy to find what I need. I've never had any issue downloading or using their files. When listening to a music sample, it is frustrating that the time scrub capability is not more apparent. The user interface isn't intuitive enough for viewers to know they can scrub through the sample by dragging over the minimal area that the time stamp inhabits. I would love it if they updated the website more often. If you're the type to make a video daily for youtube or personal projects, then you're bound to discover after a while that you've used almost the entire library (you can't just like all of the songs).
