BannerBoo made creating ads easy, But not just that, it has upgraded our entire ad creation and ad launching experience. We were able to plan, design and iterate our ad creatives quickly and publish them. The creation process was painless because they have got a library of professionally created templates that we can use. Adding animations were merely just a matter of clicking a few buttons. SVGs are great formats for most general web usage and they work well across a wide range of browsers and devices. The team shared they have got SVG/SVG animation exports on their roadmap so I'm quite relieved and will wait for the best features to come. What problems is BannerBoo solving and how is that benefiting you? The export options were one of the best/killer features for us, previously we had to create separate sets for every single network that we advertised and had the follow some strict restrictions in the process. That I get a professional looking banners very easily, despite not being a graphic designer, nor a html5-expert. Quick response from support. Very easy to edit and update the finished banners. I also like that I can host the banners on bannerboo's server. This makes it easy to publish the banners without an ad network, which is the case with the site I am running. There are some minor bugs that needs to be taken care of. Some features are missing (like gradient fills), but are upcoming according to the developer. The ability to make animated HTML banners (of course!). I wouldn't have the patience to learn to do this with code so it's a fantastic way for non-coders to get great results without having to learn HTML and CSS. Not being able to reduce the height of the animation bars so I can see more of them on screen without shrinking the actual banner too much. Comparing this to Canva, I'd say there is still a massive gap in what I can design using Canva versus Bannerboo, but in terms of a dedicated tool for creating Banners that get attention, BannerBoo still tops the competition! First of all, I could see right off how this would simplify the creation of short snappy banner ads and social media posts. No more fiddling around in Adobe After Effects to get an eye catching animated short! I haven’t even delved into the library of photos, shapes, or buttons. One thing I am interested in trying out is the remove background. I use Remove.bg right now, so 150 background removals are very generous. There are no down-sides that I have seen so far! I would like to see some form of organization to the uploads area – I can see that getting hard to find something later on. I sat down and chose a template right away and had a nice 7 second FB post graphic with an embedded video. I did have to convert the Getty Images video from a .mov file to a .mp4 using Handbrake before I could upload it. This is smart, as it took a 16.8 meg .mov file down to a 2.4 meg .mp4 file. Flexibility and ease of use. Design is something I have infrequently dabbled with in the past, and it is definitely not my strong suit. However, BannerBoo changed that with how easy designing became. There are just so many different templates in multiple sizes that you can easily switch between. They give you a great base to start your design, and even the templates that you don’t choose can serve as an inspiration for improvements to the one that you did choose. Besides the many templates, the tools and the user interface were very intuitive as well, and never once did I feel lost navigating through them. Additionally, the integrated search function made it easy to look for assets from other sources. With this tool, creating an attractive animated banner became as easy as ABC. I no longer have to hire a designer which is not only costly financially, but also in terms of time spent bouncing ideas off each other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about BannerBoo? The auto-resizing feature is a bit clunky and I often had to manually rework some of the assets once I resized my templates. You won’t have trouble getting started as there are plenty of unique and eye-catching template sets to get you going. The interface is great and creating banners is fast.
