There are only a few disadvantages to Azure functions in my past experience is: 1. It is a SaaS service so we can not control or manage the infrastructure or architecture. 2. Its serverless, so no need to check for infra; everything is fully managed by Azure. Its easy to deploy and test. Good part is it is developer friendly. Few commands, and it gets deployed. Cold delay: So if the azure functions is not being called quite often then it turns it off, and it gets started when a fresh request comes in.
