What do you like best about Azure Functions?

As with any other product from Microsoft or Azure it has a great integration with other products; if you are coding in .NET, you will have an even better experience and a lot of functionality that will work better with this platform than with other languages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Functions?

It is not as good if you use other languages like python to create your services instead of using C#, which is not great if you have a team or you are a developer with more experience in other languages, especially since C# learning curve is a bit steep, however if you are using Microsoft or Azure, this is the best option you are going to get but stability and compatibility with technologies outside Microsoft could be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Functions?

Microsoft's serverless computing offering, Azure Functions, frees you up to concentrate on code execution by removing the requirement to manage infrastructure. By only charging for computing time spent, it offers cost savings. It also supports many different languages, scales with ease, and has an intuitive user interface for simple function design and management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Functions?

While there are many advantages to Azure Functions, there are also certain disadvantages to be aware of. Compared to managing your own servers, a managed service gives you less control over the underlying infrastructure. Utilisation requires an Azure account and internet access, and cold start latency, a small delay in function initiation, is possible. Code debugging can be more difficult as compared to self-hosted systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Functions?

The best part about Azure Functions is write your code & execute it, you won't need to worry about the underlying server & it's associated infrastructure. It is the same concept of Lambda in AWS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Functions?

It is dependent upon an event to trigger the particular service.

Cannot be used for all tasks.

At present it is on the higher side of the cost unless you opt for a premium tier on the Azure subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloud API for fast deployments."
4/5
What do you like best about Azure Functions?

Some of our clients don't have the luxury of a full onsite server infrastructure or a means to implement quickly. Functions gives us the ability to fast track projects for our development team without the rigamaroll of hardware procurements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Functions?

From an IT Admin perspective it can be clunky to get going. Like anything with Azure ensure you check and recheck pricing calculations and maybe even quote above where you think it will land. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Functions?

Azure is a Highly Recommended Cloud Service Platform. In this, we have created a CI/CD Pipeline, used Microsoft Azure Functions, utilized Cloud Backup Utility, and created a Hosting Environment; it also supports the DevOps concept with Docker and all Microsoft Services in Azure. We have lots of predefined Azure Functions to help the development area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Azure Functions is a problem-solving tool."
5/5
What do you like best about Azure Functions?

Serverless computing: Azure Functions automatically scales and charges based on actual execution time. Event-driven architecture: Functions respond to various triggers, enabling reactive and scalable applications. Extensibility through bindings: Easily connect to input and output data sources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Functions?

Restarting databases after a data center failure is a challenge. SQL on Azure is hard, but the app is OK. There are solutions that make DR situations simpler, but they're expensive, and, from my study, even combining them won't ensure a hassle-free approach to keeping your databases operational.
