"A powerful tool for development"

What do you like best about AWS CodeBuild?

The best thing about AWS code build the way how it help to make scalable projects, the price isn't too high, is so powerful and very easy to use, i use it with others AWS tool like AWS CodeStar, CodeCommit, AWS CLI, AWS console etc. which help me even more to do a effective management of projects, i can always monitoring my builds, time left, state, i can create triggers, and setup many build projects and only pay for what i use is just amazing tool, and i can customize my own environments. What do you dislike about AWS CodeBuild?

The are only two things what i dislike about AWS build, there is only a free tier for windows, and not for linux, and there isn't preconfigured environment for C. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering AWS CodeBuild:

Use the free tier there are 100minutes free monthly if you are using windows to build, so take that free time always when you need it, this tool is very good to do units test, if you are using the tools of AWS CodeStar, set up triggers to help you to make the scalability of the project even more easier. What problems is AWS CodeBuild solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is so useful, it helped me to do or edit more than one project at time, because i can builds many projects as i want, without use my own pc, thats mean i can still working and just let another pc compile my code, also it integrated so good with others AWS tools, it work amazing with CodeCommit, i can set triggers and just build a project after merge without do anything. "Useful but not perfect"

What do you like best about AWS CodeBuild?

I really like how i can set another EC2 to compile lanes of code while i am working on other thing, that saves so much time, another good thing about AWS CodeBuild is how it is integrated with other tools, i don't have to configure anything, just need use the tools, and focus on improvements. What do you like best about AWS CodeBuild?

Writing CodeBuild scripts in a YAML format is fairly straightforward as long as you're working in a fairly basic sense. Not having to stand up a server for builds is awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AWS CodeBuild?

Complicated build tasks are harder to get right and start correctly. Also, the documentation pieces feel fragmented; steps are separate from what is allowed in each step, and the overall experience feels poor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AWS CodeBuild solving and how is that benefiting you?

I primarily use CodeBuild as a way to lint and validate CloudFormation templates before running them through. Being able to write a CodePipeline containing CodeBuild running CloudFormation without standing up any server has significantly saved time on maintenance and "unneccessary" work. What do you like best about AWS CodeBuild?

I like this tool because it helps me with the overhead of overall configuration. I like how I can set another EC2 to compile lanes of code while I am working on other things. "Just like Jenkins, but better"

What do you like best about AWS CodeBuild?

I like that it can be integrated to many work environments, for example Github. You're only charged for the services you use, so that's also a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is... Quite difficult to use. I've rarely seen such poor UX design. It does the job, but it feels very unsmooth and hard to use and to get used to throughout the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
