  ### 3. A not perfect but still a very good system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

1. It allows you to set security for multiple environments easily by using the amplify commands to set up your access to lambdas and other services.
2. You get built-in functionality from the outset with security and user management via AWS Dynamodb and Cognito pools.
3. By using amplify, you gain access to many other services available by using AWS, such as lambda triggers which you can keep logs from through cloud formations to track any problems.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

1. It is not easy to tear down an environment if you want to clear databases and repopulate, unlike traditional database setups using SQL, which you can set as part of a seed operation.
2. If you don't use the amplify best practices, it can quickly become a mess to manage. Combined with the above problem with tearing down and restarting the process can become a pain to debug.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

I would suggest this the most to those who will use it with a startup with a small team.
Having one experienced AWS Amplify user that can lead others, here is where AWS Amplifies benefits can be utilized best.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I professionally have built an online dance class as a service offering and currently working on software as a service offering for teams to buy, track and sell solar panels.

I would say amplify struggles more handling a larger dev team than a smaller one. However, it is still manageable with a clear hierarchy, managed environments, and avoidance of amplifying push and pull commands relying more upon a git integration.

  ### 4. Review on Amazon Amplify

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Plastics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2022

No need of infra. Fast and scalable to build mobile application.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

No disadvantages usually. Just the costing system. It costs too much for a very little use

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps in building mobile apps without any cloud experience. Improved app performance and best ux design.

  ### 5. Best cloud native front-end & mobile development toolkit

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vithushan S. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2021

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

AWS Amplify is a group of services that brings the capability of building scalable mobile and web applications faster. it has a lot of benefits within it. A few of my favorites are as follows,
It seamlessly integrates with almost all modern front-end frameworks such as flutter, react-native, swift, etc.
It helps us to automate the deployments using our git-flow.
It provides all the important pieces of the applications such as authentication, content management, persistence layers, monitoring & much more.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

All the features given by AWS Amplify are impressive. But still, there are some small troubles when developers choose to work with Amplify. I would say the features provided by Amplify are not that customizable, it forces the developers to use the given features as it is. Also, sometimes the relevant resolutions are not well documented when we face blockers in the development.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

At our organization, we used to spend a considerable amount of resources & time on backend services. Also, our delivery pipelines had lengthier durations for developing custom backend services. By bringing AWS Amplify, we were able to save a lot of costs as well as add a lot of value to our solutions. Which brought us in a better position in front of our clients. Obviously, there are other similar options in the market, but AWS Amplify has lot more advantages over the other vendors. So, it's highly recommended to use Amplify.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a software and R&D firm, we develop and deliver enterprise solutions for businesses. web & mobile applications are the core of our solutions. Also, we have been spending a massive amount of time developing backend services. So, AWS Amplify helps us to develop scalable & reliable applications while only focusing on front-end pieces of the applications. It provides all the packed services and deployment options need for the developers.

We specifically use amplify on the following areas
-Have a cloud-based data store connected to our mobile applications
-We process real-time analytics using the integration with our mobile applications
-We implement the authentication mechanism for our internal mobile application using AWS amplify.
-We do use amplify for sending out push notifications.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

High learning curve, offers many solutions many of which are not required for normal use-cases but ends up in billing

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

If you have a large code-base with multiple front-end applications then it is best suited for your use-cases.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serverless and continuous deployments for front-end web applications

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

It manages my React project deployment. It automatically deploys my code when I push my code to GitLab. I prefer branch-wise deployment so I can easily manage my staging and production front-end React app.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Sometimes I face issues with new branch deployment, and there are times when the save button does not work when I add a new branch. I need to refresh the page and then retry the same step. Excluding this issue, I love Amplify.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

It is an easy and fast deployment service for React apps.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves my React app automatic deployment issue. And also easily manage my different staging branches too.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit N. | Lead Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

It has the full-stack suite of services needed for a complete backend and UI solution for mobile app development. It seamlessly integratess with a host of other AWS services such as app sync, dynamodb, cognito auth, etc.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Sometimes it also enables the host of other services which are not required by the developers, which can incur more cost to the development efforts. It also has some degree of a learning curve to get used to the host of services that are offered.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved our traditional microservices architecture to AWS amplify to take advantage of serverless architecture and GraphQL APIs.

  ### 9. Ease of Deployment

  ### 11. Good For Beginners; Bad When You Need Something Advanced

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle M. | Technical Co Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2021

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

The ease of use for starting a project is hard to beat, setting up the backend and the code generation is very helpful on small-scale / hobby projects

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Amplify is heavily abstracted, so the degree of freedom is low for developers. Replacing user pools, for example, is incredibly frustrating. There are lots of safeguards in place, which is nice as a hobbyist developer. However, when you need to perform customized functionality with many moving parts (API, Lambda, User Pools + Custom Attributes, Triggers, Etc), making changes is incredibly frustrating when trying to navigate the limitations they place when it comes to dependencies on other services. It was Amplify's inability to allow me to change service attributes as project requirements change, is what made me give such a low review.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Amplify has allowed be to integrate with AWS services more securely, without revealing critical information directly in the code. I've been able to deploy robust apps globally in a matter of weaks, and have the backend work seamlessly.

  ### 12. aws amplify review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riya S. | software developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

It's simple to let people use GitHub as a host.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

The number of services that amazon uses in the process. The difficulty while adding an API backend.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

It's the easiest way to host a React App. It's also super easy.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When adding any Auth service, you have to configure the user database, the login screen, and other things. Using Amplify, you can get everything just by importing its modules.

  ### 14. Simplifying Development of Applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dillon P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2020

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

The ease of use. It is great to be able to define a graphql schema for your api and Amplify automatically generates the DynamoDB tables for that as well as resolver functions to access your data. It is easy to implement authentication and various other features AWS has to offer such as Lambda and elastic search. It integrates really well with most front end frameworks.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

It is really frustrating that if you create a @model in the graphql schema that you cannot access that data with a lambda function. It is possible but it feels a bit hacky. I also struggle to wrap my head around the folder structure but that may be personal preference. It would also be much better if it had typescript support out of the box for custom lambda functions.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

Really great to use even if you are just deploying a simple web page as it makes the deployment of this very simple.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to quickly create a full-stack web application. Using Amplify has really simplified this process and increased productivity.

AWS Amplify allows users to create serverless apps that could easily be integrated with a JavaScript front-end. It has a great, simple and easy to navigate user interface.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

No backup and could be very difficult to use. Users may experience long response times for queries. It is not available in some AWS regions like Frankfurt.

It is great when building serverless apps. It allowed us to cut costs and promotes technological growth of the business.

  ### 19. Beautiful UI components, super-easy integration of AWS cloud services on the mobile side

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2019

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

AWS Amplify is a library to help connect serverless functions/backends with mobile frontends. It is a component that can connect mobile frontends and tools to AWS Lambda functions among other products. This functionality in itself is great, because it makes hosting backends, data, etc... and creating a functional backend in general much cheaper than normal virtual machines that are cloud hosted, like AWS EC2, Google Cloud Platform Compute Engine, and DigitalOcean's Droplets. Additionally, Amplify provides a library of *beautiful* UI components for integrating this functionality, and it is all open-sourced. It is incredible easy to integrate into iOS, Android, React and a few other web frameworks, and React Native. Amazon also provides a style guide for continuing to develop UI components that work together with Amplify.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

There isn't much to dislike here. If you're using some of Amazon's other serverless products in conjunction with the Amplify Framework, there are some things like the setup process and documentation that can improve in those products.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

If there are use-cases where serverless products hosted on Amazon Web Services make sense, Amplify provides all the tools, components, and libraries necessary to implement the connection between mobile/web and the backend.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Amplify for some of our authentication services. Specifically, Cognito Auth, because the pricing is super affordable, integrated in to the AWS console, has Amplify UI Components already included in the library, and works with other authentication protocols like OAuth 2.0.

  ### 20. Cloud Enable Your ios or android app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumit M. | Cloud Specialist, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

AWS mobile services allows you to create cloud services for your ios or android app and make your app cloud enabled. You can use various services for your mobile app through aws mobile services. It helps you to use serverless technology to run your code without the problem of managing servers. It also helps you to analyze the app and develop customer services like email or 2 way SMS or mobile push all through aws mobiler services. So if you are planning on developing cloud enabled app aws cloud services are the best for it.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

I have nothing to dislike about aws mobile services. The main reason is that I have used it many times while developing mobile applications and everytime it has worked according to my requirement.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

I recommend using aws mobile services for developing services and making the application which you are developing for ios or android or web a cloud enabled. It has the latest serverless technology which frees you from managing servers. Also the other cloud related functionalities can be easily implemented through the support of aws mobile services so it is a quite effective service that you should consider using while developing applications.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use aws mobile services when I have to develop mobile application services which are cloud enabled. The mobile applications should support push messaging service which I mostly use through aws mobile services for my apps.I recommend that to my clients so that they can easily send push messages to their customers. Also it helps my clients to analyze the application usage.

  ### 21. Good Until It Isn't

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2019

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

I like that AWS Amplify typically just works - for multiple organizations, vendors and buyers. AWS is well known and Amazon is an incredible company with great resources available to them. Amplify makes it easier to build a Serverless backend and integrate it with your front end. Goal of AWS Amplify Auth is to make common tasks easy, let developer focus on their business differentiators.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

It's in the cloud, which is great, but when it goes down it ALL goes down.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

I recommend a backup to AWS in the event that it goes down.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connectivity and ease of use

  ### 22. Solid Javascript Cloud Library

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John C. | Company Owner, Public Relations and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2019

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

AWS Amplify allows users to create server-less applications that could easily be tied in with a JavaScript basic front-end. Very easy and user friendly interface for development

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Only drawback so far is using federated identities in combination with @auth is literally impossible without their hosted UI login... Which doesn't work with react native.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

It is smart to have a backup service

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ease of use, low cost pricing options

  ### 23. I love it.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo R. | Operario maquinista, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

It makes cognito auth integration very simple. It made utilizing cloudfront very simple.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

It needs more functionality, you would having to remove most of it since it's all or nothing.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

targeted to mobile/web developers to help them use infrastructure easily.
one of my direct reports used it and gave a talk about it at the monthly AWS meetup in my area.

  ### 24. AWS is a Fast, efficient and reliable web service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raul D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

The availability of use from everywhere at anytime by multiple users at the company.

It is quite easy to start a server without being an experienced coder, so anyone with advanced IT knowledge will be able to run a server and manage it from the beginning.

The possibility to set up similar servers with different configurations is a plus when it comes to comparing the performance of different web services all at a time.

But the most important for me, is the amazing way you can access the user control panel from any part of the world with your smartphone and change any parameter you need at any time.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Sometimes you get extra charges without previous notice, such as extra hdd usage, ram over use, etc.

This might be avoid by monitoring the cpu usage, hdd and ram usage after a few weeks of use, but some companies might now have this extra time to do this monitoring proccess.

Also the invoicing and charging might be a be difficult to understand at the beginning, as some terms are not very clear.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

Use a trial period before purchasing the final product. You might need more CPU power than the initially expected. Once you start using it, monitor the resources used and their performance, as you might be consuming more resources that usual.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accesing our web services from everywhere in a simple, fast and accurate way.

Improving our way to interact with our servers, making it easierr to set up from the initial stage.

  ### 25. excellent

Intuitive, Easy to Use, Excellent user experience
It makes cogito auth integration and cloudfront utilization very simple.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Authentication flow is not fun to write on our own especially if we need custom theme or self-management. Theming can be better

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Use cloud infrastructure for mobile/web development. Authentication, infrastructure services, testing

  ### 26. Easy startup process

The process to create a sample project was easy to follow and useful in explaning the new functionality provided by the mobile hub and it's related projects

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

It was confusing configuring some of the elements such as API gateway, especially going between manual setup and automatic

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Attempting to deploy a mobile app using a common platform.

  ### 27. AWS is the Biggest and The Best

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Games | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

The functionality of AWS is very strong. The dedicated cloud server set-up is extremely strong. AWS has four core feature buckets and they are all very good delivery items. We use the compute, Storage & Content Delivery, Databases, and Networking. These can all be controlled with the extensive admin controls accessible via a secure Web client. Tools available here include identity management, auditing, encryption key creation/control/storage, monitoring and logging, and more.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

The price is very high compared to some of the other new competition in this space. However, the price does compare well when you are using this service extensively. The customer service is also a bit of an issue for us on a few occasions. Billing can be tricky. There is quite a bit of functionality where reporting does take time to learn. The ramp up time is a bit slow.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

I would strongly suggest testing this solution against some of the other providers in this space. While AWs is a very powerful platform, it is pricey and you may not need all of the basic functionality that is included in the price.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for Mobile Services. The monitoring tools and scalability are great features from AWS Mobile Services. We can test apps on our phones and tablets directly on the AWS system Cloud which gets us a leg up on testing. We can also develop any kind of apps because this system can sync user data such as user profiles, settings, or game progress, or store user files like digital imaging.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Executive Office | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2018

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

Opening up directly to a dashboard of my most important metrics is the most helpful part! To drill down and get more specific, it is easy to see to get to users or retention metrics from the tabs. Also, changing the time frame (frequently happens) is front-and-center to the experience. Overall, all the main actions are clear, which makes it easier to maneuver my data.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Some of the data that has come in through Mobile Analytics hasn't been the most accurate so we have to go back and re-establish the set-up. Most of the other issues sound like they'll be solved once this product shifts over to Pinpoint, however!

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

Mobile Analytics is moving to Pinpoint. This is great! Definitely take advantage of all the services in there because it allows more specificity over events, targeting users, and integrating the technical changes with customer interaction.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an app that is on Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (iTunes App Store). This is perfect to not only see all the metrics from both of those outlets, but also to understand more about our users and continue to improve our app.

- Easy management, scalability

Also its market leader and backed by amazon itself.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Here are some of the drawbacks I found about the product:
- The customser support is not so good when you really need it
- It doesnt not support angular frameword.
- JSON format is not supported
- Extremely poor CPU performance

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

AWS Mobile Hub is the best product available in its domain. I would say that you do not need to think twice before start using this product.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are working towards scaling the mobile development pratform. Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) service offers flexibility and a wide range of EC2 instance types to choose from. It gives us the option to customize operating systems, network and security settings, and the entire software stack, but we are responsible for provisioning capacity, monitoring fleet health and performance, and using Availability Zones for fault tolerance.

All in all AWS Mobile gives us the tools to rapidly configure and integrate the cloud backend your mobile app needs.

  ### 43. AWS Mobile HUB helps in building and testing the mobile apps effectively

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rajdeep S. | Software Development Intern, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2016

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

What I like about AWS Mobile Hub is that it is a complete end to end package for progressing with the development including configuration, app build, test environment and app monitoring. It offers cloud based storage for app data and has an inbuilt content delivery program for setting up the storage in form of resource files, audio files and video files. It can also be used for validation of the in-app purchases made by the users. Thus, it is pretty easy to store the user data like pics and video files in the AWS cloud itself.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

AWS Mobile Hub still lags behind Parse and Urban Airship when it comes to the push notifications and needs improvement. The sync up between AWS Mobile Hub and Google Cloud messaging hasn’t been that great.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

It can be easily configured within 20-30 minutes only and is a suitable product for mobile development services.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The best feature is that it has a completely feature oriented console which has all the features like Software development kit, web services and the proposed client code. It will automatically create the source package for me and will give access to all the links and documents which I would need to set up the complete app phase. User sign is made simple enough by providing options such as Facebook and Amazon login to continue using the console and verifying the user identity.

  ### 44. AWS Mobile hub is great to get started!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurent R. | Software Engineer, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2016

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

I like AWS Mobile Hub since I am used to using Amazon products, I know that Amazon is reliable with their services, and I can use services that I am accustomed to using with web technologies, such as AWS Lambda. AWS Mobile Hub also gets you started with starter project if you are not integrating it in a brand new project.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

I don't necessarily dislike anything right now, but I guess one downside is that it is not yet a popular service for mobile apps, especially for push notifications. Most developers are more used to using push notifications services like Urban Airship, Parse (RIP Parse).

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

If someone were to ask me should I get started with AWS Mobile Hub, my answer would be a definite yes. There is a tremendous up side to using Amazon, since it has been reliable for years in the web and server space.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We add logic with AWS Lambda and send push notifications with Amazon Simple Notification Service.

  ### 45. AWS Mobile Hub Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Information Technology Director, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2016

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

All in one package for testing our companies mobile apps.
Most us our mobile apps users are iPhone and a handful of Android and other testing apps like xcode doesn't come with that support. Love the application sign in feature, makes things very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Since it was released in 2015 not many support documents online compared to the other vendors providing mobile testing.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

If you are already using AWS for other services especially your storage this is the best product to use. You will make things easier for the develops.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Testing and deploying mobile apps for our sales force.
We use a proprietary software for our industry, I have tried to use other testing apps and ended up spending more and work around to get the testing done.
Also the being able to use our AWS cloud storage via Mobile Hub makes everything for us and the developing team a lot easier.

  ### 46. The best suite to build and test mobile apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsha H. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2016

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

Amazon Mobile Analytics is one of the best analytics software out there and its free too. The best part of Mobile Hub is the full suite that allows you to use whatever you need be it adding social logins or push with one click.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Commodity pricing can be a bit of a daunting task when you are dealing with a lot of stuff like cognito , S3 or lambda and you need to keep all of them in check. Which can be a bit frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

Hands down the best suite that a Mobile developer can get.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building Yeow an app that allows you to monitor your site for downtime and we have been able to add new features as well as test existing ones easily and in one place. How cool is that.? :)

  ### 47. AWS Mobile Hub - Great starting point for amateur mobile app developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R. | Athletic Therapist, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2016

**What do you like best about AWS Amplify?**

Pricing is based on what components you are actively using. Interface is easy to use, friendly and clean. Development learning curve is not terrible for a power user.

**What do you dislike about AWS Amplify?**

Steep learning curve for inexperienced programmers, price can become an issue for resource intensive apps. Still requires an apple license to launch to the Apple App store.

**Recommendations to others considering AWS Amplify:**

There are better, pricer options available for simple app development however AWS Mobile Hub allows for quick and easy development of simple applications for the layperson.

**What problems is AWS Amplify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently looking at creating a mobile interface to the open source EMR software "OpenEMR". AWS mobile hub was my first choice as it allows for a easy to use design platform that doesn't require a true backend infrastructure to be in place and allows for easy testing on both my iPhone and samsung tablet.
