"Intuitive, Easy-to-Navigate Project Management with Asana"
4/5
What do you like best about Asana?

What I like best about Asana is how easy it is to navigate. The interface is intuitive, making it simple to organize tasks, manage projects, and collaborate with team members without a steep learning curve. It has a good variety of features for tracking work and keeping projects on schedule. While I do think it's on the pricier side compared to some alternatives, the overall user experience and ease of use make it a strong project management platform. What do you dislike about Asana?

One downside of Asana is its pricing, especially for smaller teams or businesses that need access to premium features. Some useful functionality is locked behind higher-tier plans, which can make the cost add up quickly. I also found that as projects become more complex, managing custom fields, automations, and dependencies can take some time to set up and maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth, Intuitive Project Planning and Task Management in Asana."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

The process of planning projects and managing tasks in Asana feels smooth and intuitive. Creating projects, creating tasks, setting their dependencies and tracking milestones is easy enough, and having five views available allows to choose the most suitable for the team option. Working with Asana is a joy since all the comments, file attachments, approvals and progress updates are made in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Asana depends much on the right project management approach. If tasks are not kept up-to-date and the project is not structured, then the visibility drops instantly. There are also some advanced portfolio management, reporting and automation options only available in the highest tiers and there might be difficulties with working in a big workspace. "Automates Project Management and Boosts Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

I like the ability to upload documents and files to Asana, which is especially useful for tasks like new onboarding for sponsors where they can upload logos and videos. I also appreciate using forms to start projects and automate the work process by receiving notifications and keeping my team on track. The AI rule creation is improving, allowing me to adjust due dates as needed, assign different individuals to tasks, and move tasks to relevant sections based on the last task completed. These features enhance efficiency and help us stay organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I would love to be able to review a start date and a due date in my tasks or task manager instead of only having the visibility of the due date. I would also love to see more flexibility in the rules and the automation. Today, when I assign another team member a task, they don't see it until the due date. It doesn't pop up on their list, whereas if I could assign a start date and a due date, they would get notified of that instead of it barring out all the dates in between. "Streamlined Project Management, Great Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

I like Asana for its simplicity and flexibility in managing projects and tasks. It gives a clear view of priorities, deadlines, and progress, making it easier to stay organized and collaborate with team members. I find features like task assignment, project timelines, and status updates really helpful in keeping everyone aligned and improving overall productivity. The initial setup was relatively easy and straightforward, and I appreciate the templates and intuitive interface that sped up the onboarding process. Using Asana alongside other tools helps centralize project tracking, improve visibility, and reduce the need to manage information across multiple places. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

One area where Asana could be improved is in handling very complex projects with a large number of tasks and dependencies. As projects grow, it can sometimes take extra effort to maintain organization and get a complete overview. Some advanced features may also require time to learn, and additional customization options or more intuitive reporting features would make the experience even better. "Intuitive UI, Strong Collaboration, and Handy Slack Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Asana?

I like the UI/UX aspects of collaboration, custom template, and dependencies features. They help the team stay on the same project and give everyone visibility into the status (or lack thereof) of specific tasks or an overall vertical that we’re working on. Also integration with Slack is helpful because we can pull tasks directly from chats within our DMs or channels. With templates, we can also build in common elements across projects that share the same known tasks, so we don’t miss repeatable steps on specific projects. Being able to analyze common points between tasks ahead of time would make it easier to streamline how we create those templates. And if we already had pre-built dependencies, we could use them as a starting point for suggesting due dates, whether we’re planning forward or working backward from a set deadline. What do you dislike about Asana?

I think what is unfortunate, is the lack of ability to custom assign roles. To have all the members we want to have on Asana it's much higher overhead than what's worth spending at this time, however, if there were tiered roles that we could assign and one person (for instance) would have a basic "view" seat at $5/mo but another who's Admin was at a higher $30/mo, with a middle ground of "regular user" being at $15/mo that would allow more of the team to be on the platform, without necessarily having the ability (or need) to utilize the platform to it's full capacity, while also having the company analyze the performance of who actually needs an Admin seat. Also, interchanging those roles would be helpful for onboarding purposes; for instance if a new member joins, and we want to have visibility into a project without them actually being able to mark something as complete - but rather just a backseat watcher, they could have a view only seat so they could track how the status of a task or project goes along the way and when the team is ready they could be moved into a different tier role at a higher price paid seat. "AI-Powered Reporting and Seamless Integrations Keep Our Team on Track"
4/5
What do you like best about Asana?

I like that Asana can use AI to create reports about previous work as well as upcoming weekly tasks. The integration with Google Calendar and Slack helps keep my team on track and improves communication. The support resources and training available have also been very helpful in ensuring we’re using Asana to its fullest potential.

Asana’s performance has been excellent, especially in how smoothly it integrates with other systems. It works well for managing different teams and keeping projects organized while still allowing them to remain separate, which fits the way my team operates.

My favorite part is the interface. I can customize my front page to show exactly what I want to see, including the tasks I have for the week. I can also add quick notes, which is really helpful.

One area for improvement is pricing. I understand that costs increase as organizations grow, but as a nonprofit, it would be beneficial to have more affordable pricing options specifically designed for nonprofit organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Intuitive Asana—But Dev-to-UAT Workflows and Pricing Tiers Can Get Tricky"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

Asana stands out for its intuitive, multi-view interface—offering List, Board, and Timeline formats—alongside robust workflow automation that handles routine status updates, task assignments, and handoffs. Its portfolios and workload tracking provide clear cross-functional visibility, while seamless integrations with tools like Slack, Teams, Figma, and Google Drive keep project context centralized. Coupled with customizable fields and clear dependency tracking, it makes managing complex, multi-team projects effortless and transparent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

While Asana is exceptional for general task management, tracking complex end-to-end workflows from Dev to UAT to Completion isn't as seamless or structured as dedicated development boards. Its strict single-assignee limit makes shared ownership awkward without adding subtasks, and essential features like advanced automation rules, workload management, and portfolios are locked behind higher-tier plans. Additionally, managing deeply nested subtasks can cause UI clutter, making technical handoffs harder to track at a glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Asana Keeps Me Organized—Fast, Fair-Priced, and Great Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

Asana has helped me get organized, hold myself accountable, and meet deadlines that I was missing before because I was losing notes amongst the 15 notepads and legal pads I was writing every single task and thought and reminder in! I LOVE that it can integrate with ChatGPT! That has honestly been the biggest upgrade since I've started using Asana close to a year ago. The price point is very fair, the performance is great - there's never any glitches and it never runs slow, and the support is phenomenal! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Honestly I haven't found any dislikes so far about Asana. I don't think that I use it to its fullest capability because I'm the only one on the team that uses it. It makes for an excellent invoice payment tracker and to do list for me. I color coded the different categories of my day to day tasks (Administrative, HR, Finance, Brain Dump, etc.) and I can look at the calendar view and see very easily what I've got on the docket for that day. It works very well with my ADHD brain! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Project Management and Team Alignment"
5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

I find Asana's user interface to be quite visually appealing and intuitive, which makes it easy to add items or tasks. The ability to toggle between different boards is fairly intuitive as well. I like the hotkeys/shortcuts, and I really appreciate the email reminders Asana sends out. These features make everything more intuitive and seamless, so I don't feel like Asana is a burden or just another tool to manage. The initial setup of Asana was very easy, the installation process was intuitive and seamless, which I really appreciated. I also use Asana with ChatGPT, and linking them adds high value, allowing me to get status updates and build reports. Asana helps my team by providing 1000% visibility into activities and ensuring everyone is aligned with a central repository for status updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I think the meeting notes portion of the platform could be improved. I traditionally use MS OneNote for note-taking and I believe it will make my life and work much easier if I can centralize Asana and OneNote in the same platform. I sometimes use the notes function in Asana but it isn't as well developed as I'd hope for. In addition, I think Asana could do a better job at dependencies / multihoming of projects - it is a bit unintuitive to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Asana review by Emerge Ministries"
5/5
What do you like best about Asana?

A sauna integrates well with Microsoft and performs extremely well in scaling our work and allowing us to track what we are doing. It works well with on boarding and supporting our employees and helping them accomplish their task. The user interface is very easy to follow and the price is very affordable. We have used the AI some and it seems to work very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

My dislikes with a sauna mainly have to do with very niche problems that we experience for example, some of the dependency rules and scheduling due dates based off of the rules could use some improvements to become more dynamic and reactive. So mainly the issues become with dynamic role assignments and dynamic due to a assignments that can interact automatically without us having to over program the.
