I think some of the widgets could be even more customizable. It seems to be very closed off and limited. On competitor devices, you can change so much of the look and feel of things like an analog clock on the lock screen. On Apple, it doesn't really seem to be an option. And one of the features they changed last year was this glass effect, which looks a little bit gimmicky to me. It's okay, but it's not really to my preference and you can't change the setting. I’ve used Apple iOS products for most of my life, both personally and for business. The functionality and the way Apple’s products integrate with each other works almost perfectly. The UI and overall design look really good, and in my experience it’s been better than Android or Samsung products, where things can feel messy.

Apple may have fewer specs on paper compared to other brands, but the way the internals work helps the device perform better than those brands. Pricing is similar to Samsung devices and more expensive than general devices, but they last, and you get what you pay for. I don't like the way it only allows you to size some windows in one direction. sometimes I would like to widen a window to see the contents more clearly but it only llows you to make it vertically bigger. Also, it doesn't always allow you move a pop-up window. Sometimes a setting dialogue pops up and there's a field to be filled in and the information required to fill it in is present in the main window behind the pop-up dialogue, but the OS doesn't allow you move the pop-up dialogue out the way! I love that iPhone and Mac works together pretty much seamlessly. Calls and messages sync across devices. Photos, files, notes, and more sync automatically with iCloud. Even Apple Watch integration is an A-plus. The support is top tier, the resale value is high, and the design is simple and easy to use. The customization is limited compared to Android. It can be hard to use Apple with non-Apple devices. The price is very expensive to purchase, upgrade, storage, apps, and repairs. The screens break easily. System data can take all of your storage, and it's hard to learn how to clear this out for someone who isn't tech savvy. This is a list that can go on and on. The OS seems to be behind when compared to Android. The hardware itself is behind. The cost is WAY too expensive for technology that is at least 3 years behind. Performance wise, it's ok but nothing to really write home about. Android apps seem to just work better as a whole. Overall, I just don't like it. There are reasons we are switching back to Android. The biggest downside of Apple iOS, in my view, is its overly conservative NFC policy. Apple keeps most NFC capabilities locked down to Apple‑approved scenarios, so many excellent offline NFC use cases, such as deeper transit integrations, contactless access systems, or more innovative tap‑based workflows, just aren’t possible on iOS.
