"A Simple and Powerful API Testing Tool for Frontend Developers"
4/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

What I like most about Apidog is its clean and easy to use interface. As a frontend developer, I mainly use it for testing APIs, and I find the overall experience much simpler and more organized compared to Postman. It’s easy to find requests, manage different APIs, and quickly test things without feeling overwhelmed. I also really like the collaboration features because they make it much easier for the team to share and work with APIs together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

One thing I find a bit frustrating about Apidog is that there are so many features, and it’s not always easy to understand how to use all of them. For some features, I have a hard time finding clear tutorials or step by step documentation, so I often end up figuring things out on my own. It would be helpful to have more beginner friendly guides and examples for these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One for APIs: Design, Documentation, Testing, and Mocking Always in Sync"
5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

What I value most about Apidog is that it combines design, documentation, testing, and mocking of APIs into a single tool. I used to use Postman for testing and Swagger for documentation, and keeping both synchronized was a problem. Now I design the endpoint once, and the documentation and mocks update themselves. What do you dislike about Apidog?

I would like to be able to edit environment variables faster. Today, to change a value, you have to go to the environment settings, find the variable, and edit it there. It would be much more convenient to hover over the variable within the request and change its value right there, without leaving the view I'm working in. I also miss a more complete MCP integration: an AI assistant that can not only read the API specification but also create and execute tests or manage environments directly. "All-in-One API Design, Testing, and Documentation Made Easy with Apidog"
5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

What I like most about Apidog is that it brings API design, documentation, testing, and debugging together in one place. It makes it easier to manage APIs and test endpoints during development without needing to switch between multiple tools. I also like the clean interface and how quickly I can organize and share API documentation with my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

One thing I dislike is that some advanced features can take a little time to understand when you are using Apidog for the first time. The interface has many options, so it can feel a bit overwhelming initially. It would also be nice to have even more customization options for documentation. "Apidog Unifies API Docs, Debugging, and Testing—Saving Us Hours Every Week"
5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

What I like most about Apidog is that it seamlessly brings API documentation, debugging, and automated testing together in one unified platform. Rather than constantly switching between separate tools like Postman and Swagger, our team can design, mock, and test APIs all in the same place. The automatic documentation generation saves us hours each week and helps keep our frontend and backend developers consistently aligned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

While Apidog is a powerful tool, the learning curve can feel a bit steep for team members who are completely new to full-featured API platforms. Also, the initial setup and importing complex, existing collections from other tools can sometimes require a few minor adjustments to get everything working smoothly. "Streamlined API Design and Documentation All-in-One"
5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

I use Apidog for API design and documentation, and it really helps me by allowing me to design APIs and generate clean, professional documentation all in one place, without having to switch between multiple tools. The all-in-one experience stands out the most for me. I love that I can design, document, and test APIs without leaving the platform. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to get started quickly. The auto-generated documentation is a huge time saver, as it saves me hours of work and ensures the docs are always accurate and up to date with the actual API structure. The setup was straightforward, and I was up and running within minutes, with no complicated configurations or installations needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

The only minor issue is that some advanced features take a little time to figure out for new users. More beginner-friendly templates would be a welcome addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ease of Use and Efficiency for QA"
5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

I love the ease of using Apidog, which allows me to create many test cases and offers possible solutions for my security and authentication APIs. It is especially useful in the security part with tokens, helping me verify if a reload is needed or if access is still available in the login or any purchase service. Additionally, Apidog saves me time because if I searched and found solutions myself, it would take much longer, and I also find it very accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

Well, the project part limits us to 5 projects. It should be 10 for the free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralize and Accelerate API Development"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

As a Backend developer, I love using Apidog to centralize the lifecycle of my APIs in one place. I really appreciate that I can design the documentation and generate mocks automatically. I also greatly enjoy being able to run integration tests without having to switch tools. It is a key resource that has drastically accelerated my development pace and synchronization with my team. I like being able to design my APIs with an API First approach. Additionally, I value being able to create test chaos and perform integration tests, which allows me to connect to data sources. The ability to create test cases for each resource is very useful as it helps certify functionality and allows for improved validation of these resources by the QA team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

The resources consumed by the application would be better if it were a native application for each operating system. The user interface of the application is a bit confusing, especially in the designing and requesting part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One API Workflow That Saves Time and Keeps Everything in Sync"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

The best part for me is definitely the all in one workflow. I love not having to jump between three different apps just to design, test, and document an Api, it saves a ton of time and keeps everything in sync without the usual headache. It's just a much smoother experience than Postman. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

Well its not perfect I'd say,The main thing that bugs me is the learning curve and it’s got so many features packed in that the UI can feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming when you first start. Also, being an Electron app, it can definitely hog some system resources if you’re running a bunch of heavy test sequences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yukio Ikeda of Apidog

Rest assured, we are continuously working to streamline the user experience and optimize performance for a more efficient workflow.

"Apidog’s All-in-One API Workflow That Saves Serious Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Apidog?

It definitely saves a lot of time not having to jump between different apps. Here’s a clearer breakdown of what makes Apidog stand out.

True all-in-one workflow: It replaces multiple tools by bringing design, documentation, debugging, and automated testing into a single interface.

Smart mocking: It automatically generates realistic mock data, so frontend and backend teams can work in parallel without waiting on each other.

Database integration: Unlike many competitors, it can connect directly to your database to verify that API calls are actually saving data correctly.

Visual test suites: You can create complex, multi-step test scenarios visually, without needing to write heavy scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apidog?

While Apidog is incredibly powerful for keeping everything in one place, there are a few technical trade-offs that can become more noticeable as projects grow.

Complexity & Learning Curve: Because it combines so many features—design, documentation, testing, and mocking—within a single interface, it can feel overwhelming at first, especially if you’re coming from simpler, more focused tools.

Desktop App Performance: Since it’s an Electron-based application, it can be fairly “heavy” on system resources (RAM and CPU). This is most apparent when working with very large API collections or running long test sequences.

Offline Limitations: Even though there’s a desktop app, many of the strongest synchronization and collaboration features still depend on a stable internet connection and access to their cloud servers.

Pricing for Teams: The free tier is generous, but pricing for larger professional teams—or for specialized enterprise features—can scale up quickly, particularly compared to open-source alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
