"A coding assistant that actually works inside my project"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

It works inside my actual project — reads the whole codebase, edits real files, runs my build and git commands in the terminal, not just spitting out snippets. On Windows with a custom WordPress theme it follows my BEM/SCSS conventions across sessions, and the custom skills I built for repetitive studio work save me hours. It verifies its own changes before saying "done." Daily driver now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

It's Mac-first — on Windows some skills and tooling assume macOS paths, so I hit the occasional snag. The top model gets expensive on long sessions, so I watch scope. Permission prompts are good for safety but interrupt flow until you tune what's auto-allowed. And it can be confidently wrong, so I review anything important before shipping — it's a tool you drive, not autopilot Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Claude Code Feels Like an AI Development Partner That Saves Hours"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

Claude Code significantly speeds up development by understanding the entire codebase, implementing features, fixing bugs, and handling complex tasks. It saves hours of coding and feels like having an AI development partner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Claude Code can sometimes make unnecessary changes to existing code or struggle with complex tasks. Token usage and costs can add up quickly, and the output still requires careful review and testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Coding Agent with Flexible Tools, but Occasional Auto-Mode Delays"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I use Claude Code as a dedicated coding harness, and it helps me get the most out of the provided agent. It comes bundled with the tools I need and is easy to expand with MCPs and plugins. I especially like low-priority mode, which lets me keep using the agent after I’m out of my five-hour quota when there’s availability. I also value Plan Mode and Ultra Review. Setup is really easy—just a single command. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Sometimes Claude Code’s auto mode classifier randomly goes down, which can stall my workflows and agent when I’m not looking. It can take a while to come back online, which is a bit frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great VSCode Plugin Integration for Terminal, Git, and Model Selection"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

It can interact with other plugins in VSCode. I can run commands in the terminal and check Git commits as well.

As the web version has all models and effort to decide the right cost for your task.

The quality of the code it creates is fantastic. Specially on Opus and Fable models. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

The way file changes are handled feels awkward. Compared with Copilot, it’s less comfortable to review what changed. In Copilot, you can see changes block by block and decide whether to keep them, modify them, or remove them, and you can do the same at the full-file level. In Claude code, I don’t have that option; the only way I’ve found is to check the Git changes.

(If there is another way… if there is one, it definitely isn’t intuitive.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Create Websites – Despite Difficult Start and Tight Usage Limits"
4/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I use Claude Code to program or generate websites. It makes it massively easier: I can input a complete website from top to bottom into a code block in one go, without using a drag-and-drop CMS. I particularly like that I can connect it with programs like my daily-used cloud interface. Compared to ChatGPT, I get more meaningful answers in my opinion, and the work goes a bit faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

With the lower plans, I reach the available volume relatively quickly, so I have to think carefully about what I input. The initial setup was more complicated than I liked, and I almost gave up. It was worth sticking with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Claude Code: Powerful and Seamless, Despite Branch Challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I find Claude Code very powerful for solving milestone-level problems, and I love its ability to investigate and debug in local container environments. It’s incredibly easy to set up, almost with a single line to install it, and it feels like having multiple teams that you can send to work with just a simple console command. The MCP integration in other tools and brainstorming with Claude is really effective. I appreciate the feature of creating detailed specs and plans and then turning them into milestones. I also like how it can translate tech talk into something that project managers and support teams can understand. Lastly, it’s a more powerful alternative to our previous tool, Zencoder, with full agentic integration instead of just code assistant or autocomplete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Working with worktrees and branch blocking in Claude Code is kind of annoying. When collaborating with multiple agent teams, moving changes into a shared release branch often causes issues. A branch might not switch back to the feature branch, which then blocks another merge, and that's frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Repository-Wide Context That Supercharges Debugging, Refactoring, and Multi-File Changes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

The most valuable feature is its repository-wide context awareness. When working on automation frameworks or backend services, Claude Code can understand how different modules interact and suggest changes that fit naturally into the existing codebase rather than generating isolated code fragments. The biggest benefit is productivity. It significantly reduces the time spent understanding unfamiliar code, debugging complex issues, and implementing new features, allowing me to focus more on system design, testing, and delivering high-quality software. What I like most about Claude Code is its ability to understand an entire codebase and make meaningful code changes instead of just suggesting isolated snippets. It excels at repository-level reasoning, making it especially useful for debugging, refactoring, and implementing features across multiple files. Excellent understanding of large, multi-file projects and complex architectures. Strong reasoning for debugging, refactoring, and code reviews. Generates clean, maintainable code that follows existing project patterns. Helps explain unfamiliar code and architecture with clear reasoning. Reduces repetitive development tasks while maintaining context across conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

While Claude Code is one of the strongest AI coding tools I've used, there are a few areas where I think it could improve. It can occasionally make broad refactoring changes that require careful review before merging. For very large repositories, response time can increase as more context is processed. It sometimes needs additional prompting to strictly follow an existing project's coding standards or architectural patterns. Generated code still requires validation for edge cases, performance, and security. Integration with some development tools and CI/CD workflows could be more seamless. "Fast, High-Quality Code Generation I Rely on Daily"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I really like how fast it generates code and how high the quality of that code is. I use it almost daily, and it’s almost never wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

I don’t like how expensive the plans can be at times. I also think long-term customers should receive some additional benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Top-Notch AI Intelligence with Great Plugins and Easy Onboarding"
4/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

I like the models response and their harness based on the context we provide. UI is also good if we use it with the desktop app, but I like to use via terminal. It provides various plugins to integrate google workspace, slack and tickets tools like GUS. We can also create a our own internal marketplace to use the tools we create for our org. Performance is great if we use higher grade models like opus and other models perform good in day to day task or if using ultracode feature. Pricing is hight if using your personal subscription based on the tokens and context window it provides. But since their AI intelligence is top notch we can accept that. Onboarding is very easy and learning curve is not much, they provided good docs to know their internals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

Just its context window, if using higher grade models its context gets full very easily, though it can auto compact but then chances of hallucination is more. I million context model is very pricey. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy VS Code Integration with Accurate, Context-Aware Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Claude Code?

Easy to integrate with VS Code. I give it access to my GitHub repo so it has the right context. I also like the manual mode, where you can review what changes Claude Code is going to make; after you accept the plan, it switches to auto mode and gets the task done with full accuracy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Claude Code?

It doesn’t preserve the current chat history if you accidentally close VS Code without selecting the new chat first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
