What I like most about Amazon Q Developer is that it helps students understand code instead of just giving quick answers. In the lab, I use it to explain how each line of code works and to show how to fix common mistakes. It also helps me demonstrate how different AWS services connect with code. The chat and explanation features make learning more interactive and easy to follow. Since it supports many languages like Python, Java, and JavaScript, students can all use the same tool. Overall, it saves time and makes coding sessions more engaging and educational. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Amazon Q Developer is that it sometimes gives incomplete or complicated answers, which can confuse beginners. In the lab, students need clear and correct feedback, but sometimes the tool suggests code that doesn’t run properly. Setting it up with AWS credentials also takes extra time and can slow down class activities. I wish the setup was easier and the explanations were more reliable for new learners.
