I originally signed up for AIOSEO on a one-year trial. When I got a renewal notice, I decided to cancel since I didn’t find the tool very useful. I went through their overly aggressive cancellation process (multiple "Are you sure?" prompts), only to get an error message at the end.

Not wanting to take chances, I deleted my billing info from my account, assuming that would prevent a charge.

Fast forward to February 23rd—I was still charged $749.

I reached out to their support team, who acknowledged my cancellation attempt but then said, "Per our terms of service, we don’t refund renewals… BUT since we’re so generous, we’ll refund you minus a 10% administrative fee."

Wait, what? I canceled. Their system failed. They charged me anyway. And they still get to keep 10%?

This raises serious concerns about their business practices. And speaking of concerns…

Why does an SEO company not have a Google Business Profile?

AIOSEO teaches SEO but doesn’t even bother to establish basic SEO fundamentals like local search visibility. That’s like hiring a personal trainer who doesn’t believe in exercise.

If this is how they run their own online presence, what does that say about their product?

Buyer beware: If you try to cancel, be prepared to fight for your money. And if a company that specializes in SEO doesn’t even follow their own best practices, are they really worth your time?
