What is Aerospike, and what problem is it built to solve?

Aerospike is a real-time NoSQL database designed to handle large volumes of data with very low latency. Its hybrid memory architecture uses RAM and flash storage to support high-speed, scalable applications that need rapid reads and writes.

What languages does Aerospike support?

Aerospike supports 1 language: English.

What company sizes and industries is Aerospike the best fit for?

Aerospike appears to suit a range of team sizes, with positive user experience concentrated in mid-market and enterprise organizations. Marketing and advertising, financial services, and technology-related industries are also well represented.
  • Mid-market: Teams with 51–1,000 employees.
  • Enterprise: Teams with more than 1,000 employees.
  • Small business: Smaller teams are represented as well.
  • Industries: Marketing and advertising, financial services, and information technology and software.

How long does it take to implement Aerospike across a team?

Implementation timelines vary, but under a month is the most common reported range. Teams also report go-live periods spanning several months or longer.
Time to go live Relative frequency
Under 1 month, including under 1 day Most common
1–3 months Also frequently reported
3–6 months Also reported
6–12 months or more Reported less often

What customer support options does Aerospike provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Aerospike provides support through email/help desk, phone, and chat, with 24/7 live-rep support. The support experience is described as responsive and knowledgeable, including help with setup and data modeling; some users find community resources or documentation less helpful for resolving technical questions.

What is the experience like for teams switching to Aerospike from another tool?

Switching to Aerospike has been driven by the need for better performance, reliability, and scalability as existing databases or caches reached their limits. The transition is described as manageable in some cases, though data-model changes and migration planning can take work.
  • Prior database platforms: MongoDB, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, and other NoSQL databases.
  • Prior caches and managed services: Redis, Memcached, and DynamoDB.
  • What changed: Users describe faster reads and writes, improved stability at scale, and less operational effort.

What features or capabilities could make Aerospike even more useful?

Aerospike could be more useful with clearer operational visibility and more flexible tools for inspecting and managing data. Users also point to opportunities to make some day-to-day administration and development tasks smoother.
  • Monitoring and administration: Add more detailed health and usage metrics, including clearer cluster and set-level visibility.
  • Querying and data inspection: Make it easier to limit query results and inspect records without relying on external tools.
  • Configuration and operations: Expand the options that can be changed dynamically and simplify common cluster-management tasks.

"Unbelievably fast database with super replication - started production with it in one day"
5/5
What do you like best about Aerospike?

XDR super easy replication is my #1. Super easy to set up, you choose what and where to replicate. Additionally, software has the possibility to fully utilize some cloud providers and their services, which is giving this software huge advances.. I loved shadow devices and lastly but very importantly, every time I contacted support it was a great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aerospike?

Honestly, the software is properly built and I haven't founded its downsides yet, As soon as I do, will write a new review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NOSQL database that is highly scalable."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Aerospike?

Metadata used a standard open-source NOSQL database, but we encountered problems with size and velocity, as the company database increased. Due to its simplicity of use, simple setup and a high speed reading and writing, we have chosen Aerospike to replace MongoDB. Together with the simple customer creation and a sync request support, we have been able to increase our outlining algorithms and operate twice as quickly, allowing us to service more customers with even smaller hardware resources in a lower amount. The move to Aerospike has expanded our capabilities and led to the growth of our business. Any tech company searching for a solid database, which remains scalable, super-fast and commercially accessible, should be advised by Aerospike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aerospike?

Our approach and architecture had no issues with installing or incorporating Aerospike. It was made simpler by your documentation, and we had no problems scaling it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

5/5
What do you like best about Aerospike?

Aerospike removes a big administrative Overhead for big Clusters compared to other Solutions and provides us with many useful out of the Box Features to implement high frequent and high performant functionality for billions of Records. The Aerospike Client Libraries are published Open-Source. That gave us the Chance to make Improvements and add Features we needed ourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aerospike?

Handling records with a large amount of Data is complicated due to the Record Size Limitations. Queries on many Records can be hard because of the missing ability to limit Query results Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Aerospike helps to store data as cached as well as the database with complete XDR functionality. It a very good database by combining the power of Redis and SQL compliant queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
