The patch catalog isn't always in sync with the vendor's latest releases. For example, Chrome and a few other third-party apps show older patch versions in Acronis than what's actually available from the vendor. For PSS ICT, Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud delivers the most value through its integrated platform that combines security, backup, and remote management within a single agent and console. In practice, this means faster onboarding of new customers and less time spent on maintenance tasks, as updates and monitoring are largely automated. In addition, the built‑in backup and recovery capabilities enable us to quickly restore systems after incidents such as ransomware, which improves both service reliability and customer confidence.

An unexpected benefit we’ve experienced is how easily the platform scales across different environments, while still remaining cost‑efficient. While Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud delivers strong value as an integrated platform, one limitation we experience is that its detection approach is primarily endpoint-driven. This means that advanced cross-domain correlation—combining data from endpoints, network devices, identity systems, and other sources—is more limited compared to some dedicated XDR or SIEM-based solutions.

As a result, visibility into complex attack scenarios, such as multi-stage or lateral movement across systems, can be less detailed without integrating an additional SIEM solution.

We’ve also noticed that customization of detection and deep forensic analysis capabilities are somewhat limited, which can be a constraint in highly complex or enterprise-level environments.

The best thing about it is how easy it is to setup especially since the management console is already cloud based. The onboarding of workloads and creating of protection plans is very straightforward. As long as the network has no problem, connecting the workloads and then backing them up is fairly easy. Then of course it now has more features for security so it helps in promoting to other clients so besides having a backup, it ensures that there are healthy restore points and ensures that workloads are protected as well. I like the all-in-one approach. Even though it isn’t truly an all-or-nothing solution, the real value is being able to consolidate IT tools into a single dashboard. There are many features, but the focus on stability, engine behavior, and cybersecurity doesn’t feel solid yet. I also ran into a bug when backing up too many files and folders to cloud storage the process takes a very long time.
