"Nothing falls through the cracks with Accelo"
What do you like best about Accelo?
I love how powerful and flexible Accelo is. It's a really good hub for running the business -- everything is tracked between CRM, sales, projects, invoicing, timesheets...it's great, and has saved me a ton of time in the administrative process of accounting for accountability during projects, and just making sure nothing falls through the cracks at all.
After using Accelo for some time, I kept running into difficulty figuring out how best to make it work with our processes. I was able to work with Accelo in 1:1 sessions to figure out our unique issues and how best to make Accelo work for us. These were very valuable sessions where any question was on the table. And they would research and get back to me on anything they didn't have an immediate answer to. And the sessions were recorded, so I can always refer back to them later.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
While Accelo is super powerful, it's not very flexible. I designed my model and my process for running my business, and I'm trying to make it fit into Accelo but there are some areas where it just doesn't work. In those cases, I find that we have to change *our* process in order to fit Accelo, instead of the other way around.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping good track of and capturing everything our subcontractors are doing on projects was a big issue --and now nothing gets lost, invoices are quick to turnaround, and profitability is easy to track.
"Integrative and Versatile"
What do you like best about Accelo?
Accelo offers quite a few workarounds and options to be able to achieve what you want kind of project and breakdowns you're looking for. There are different viewing options and customizations!
What do you dislike about Accelo?
Since there are so many customizations and ways to achieve what you're looking for, the platform can be a bit difficult to navigate at times. It's not always intuitive.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning work and the time allocation for each team member has been beneficial but have encountered a few issues with time rolling over and how to stop certain functions
"When it needs to be automated and profitable, it's Accelo"
What do you like best about Accelo?
No shortage of features and functions to keep my digital marketing agency running smoothly from Sales to Support, Invoicing and Project Management
What do you dislike about Accelo?
Can be a bit clunky to load at times. It's designed to meet a wide range of industries, so working in it can be similar to flying a jumbo jet with all the features and functions. Look beyond the complexity and you have a platform designed to keep agencies and professional services businesses running like a top.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
Accelo is like a swiss army knife for your professional service business. It only works well and is profitable if you use it
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've increased support billing by 300% since we've implemented Acccelo in 2016
"The Perfect Services Agency Operations Solution"
What do you like best about Accelo?
The platform is highly customizable, sometimes to the point of exhaustion, which is a good problem. I'd rather have more options than I know what to do with than being handicapped by a limiting set of options. No matter what the workflow is, we can customize the platform to facilitate that workflow, and in many cases, can automate many of the tasks associated with the workflow so we can focus our time and efforts on the most critical aspects of servicing our clients.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
While the integration list is pretty robust, it's not that extensive. I wish there were some deeper level integrations with services like Calendly, etc. I also dislike that the website doesn't work well on mobile devices like phones. Tablets don't have this issue. Lastly, the new smart lists are awesome but not being able to edit project statuses is a pain in the rear.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
The most important recommendation I can give to future Accelo users is to have your operations plan fully baked and laid out prior to adopting the software. It's extremely powerful, which when not planned out properly, can lead to lots of wasted time in figuring out workflows and processes after the fact. Having your dream workflows ready to go will allow adoption to be quick and painless.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to get rid of multiple disconnected, disparate systems for a single, unified, cohesive client management platform. I now have complete visibility into all client operations, from prospecting to re-engaging existing customers, and nothing falls into the cracks due to the completeness of Accelo. I'm a huge fan!
"Accelo offers great functionality for large teams"
What do you like best about Accelo?
The ability to automate tasks and create new tasks for coworkers contingent on the completion of a prior task in a project.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
It can be difficult at times to redesignate the date and time of a work log that wasn't closed out the day prior. That can be frustrating.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability for our clients to create tickets for us to fix is invaluable. This process makes things much easier than just getting an email from someone and hoping you don't lose track of it.
"Accelo has helped our team tremendously with deadlines and streamlined communications."

It's easy to use and learn. The platform is beautiful and straightforward. You can easily find everything, and the timers are fantastic! Billing, time logging, and schedule have a lot of details and tools.

When the platform put external meeting and email in the timesheet.

"Accelo Blends CRM, Project Mgmt and Retainers into One"
What do you like best about Accelo?
Accelo does a good job helping our marketing agency setup and manage retainers for clients and manage the budget of time they have available. In addition, Accelo allows us to manage website design and development projects down to the minute and helps us ensure projects are on-time and on-budget.
If needed, we can produce an audit trail of work performed for a client in a moment's notice. Our website management team also uses Accelo to manage the hundreds of tickets that are received from clients needing changes to their websites.
What do you dislike about Accelo?
Although Accelo includes a CRM component, this is perhaps the weakest part of their platform at this time.
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our website management team also uses Accelo to manage the hundreds of tickets that are received from clients needing changes to their websites.
"Helped get work (and billing) centralized and organized"
What do you like best about Accelo?
Not only is it easy to enter time, but the weekly timesheet report provides a great recap on all the work completed for a given week (and any gaps in time entry!)
What do you dislike about Accelo?
There was a learning curve in how I managed time, which caused some frustration when setting up projects.
Recommendations to others considering Accelo:
It's very powerful, but you don't need to implement everything at once. Start with basic project steps then, as you get comfortable, add the "extras".
What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits: less wasted time in trying to manage projects and their billing via MS Project or Excel sheets; Consolidation of all employees' work in one place makes invoicing much easier (and quicker).
