"Effortless, Secure Remote Access with Minimal Interaction"
5/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

I like how Absolute Secure Access allows all of our technicians to access our ERP from the field. Secure access is really easy, and I appreciate that I can fire up the computer, the client starts, and it connects immediately to the network. This minimal interaction required by the user is the reason we bought it. The client side has always been extremely easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

I don't really have any complaints, the ease of use is the primary selling point for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolute Secure Access - Was better than the competitors"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

In my first review of Absolute Secure Access everything that I said is still true. Their always-on, suspended-state VPN client is still awesome for what we do and how we use it, especially for devices that use applications remotely that connect to a database. Anyone who uses SQL knows that even the slightest blip can cause issues using any software that bounces off a database which is very annoying for both the users and those of us who have to administer it.

Absolute's improved functionality thru the easy-to-use web console has given us more flexibility to be able to put our VPN client in a bypass state while working inside the 4 walls of the office which reduces network usage. Another plus in the Absolute side of things. It has allowed us to more easily communicate with devices remotely rather than playing the game of deciding which network adapter is registered in DNS today. What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

This is the part of the survey that will explain why not only have I reduced my overall score of Absolute but why we are actually moving away from Absolute entirely at the end of this year when our licensing agreement is up.

When dealing with a company, especially one that we give a lot of money to year-after-year for their services, how they treat me in response to that does rate very highly for me. Customer service with Absolute has gotten a little complicated over the last year or two. If you ask a support question more often than not you're hit with a response that links to a doc that may or may not answer your question as opposed to having a conversation with someone. Also, as with any tech company getting bigger these days, you may be met with someone who is a paid Helpdesk support person who spends days-into-weeks collecting information and leaving the problem unsolved.

Because of degradation in service we will be moving away from Absolute, as previously stated, and moving forward with our firewall vendor's always-on VPN client, FortiClient. We have a personal, open communication with the engineers who will be working with us and are available at the ready. We would rather pay them than Absolute. "Absolute Secure - NetMotion VPN"
4/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

The new client is more stable and keeps the connection even when moving between different networks whereas the old client would sit in a disconnected state if you changed networks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

Still requires a fair bit of infrastructure particularly if you want to run it in 2 different locations for resiliency, the annual costs are also not cheap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"NetMotion"
4/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

We like how resilient it is and resistant to disruption of connectivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

Configuration challenge previously having two separate accounts to support two different departments. Account consolidation but keeping the servers/networks separate was not an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, Secure, and Exceptionally Smooth Connection"
5/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

The most valuable feature is the reliability and smoothness of its connection. When it comes to security, I am impressed by how ASA evaluates the device's status; if a threat is detected, it instantly blocks access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

The primary drawback is that in order to take full advantage of its advanced features, you need to be completely integrated into the absolute ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless, Reliable VPN Connectivity Perfect for On-the-Go Users"
5/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

One of the standout features is its persistent, intelligent VPN connectivity. The service offers a session-persistent VPN, allowing users to switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi, cellular, or wired networks without losing their connection. If the network briefly disconnects, the VPN automatically reconnects without requiring any action from the user. This reliability makes it especially suitable for field workers, remote employees, or anyone who frequently uses laptops or tablets while on the move. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

1. The initial setup and policy configuration can be quite complex. While the platform provides extensive control, this also results in a setup process that can take considerable time. Many administrators note the steep learning curve involved in creating and adjusting access policies, routing rules, and optimization settings. For smaller IT teams, the onboarding experience may feel more demanding compared to simpler VPN solutions.

🖥️ 2. The user interface of the management console can feel outdated or inconsistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolute is a very reliable and capable VPN security solution! Recommended."
4/5
What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

Absolute has a comprehensive Insight tool that allows you to understand Client workflow even in a split tunnel configuration. This has been great for troubleshooting network and environment access issues, and finding new policy opportunities. Single sign-on works well and connections are very stable! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

A negative aspect would be lack of management on the server side as this is a cloud-based solution that lives in Absolute's environment. Support is fairly responsive though when changes are required, especially during the on-boarding phase. Many policies may have to be built out depending on your org's needs. But once they are completed, they behave as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
