Absolute Secure Access Reviews & Product Details

Absolute Secure Access (formerly NetMotion by Absolute) is one of the company’s core product lines, which was added through the acquisition of NetMotion in July 2021. The product portfolio provides resilient network connectivity for users to securely access critical resources in the public cloud, private data centers, and on-premises. These products allow users to transition from traditional VPN to a resilient Zero Trust approach, without impairing productivity or admin controls. Absolute Secure Access encompasses three products: • Absolute VPN provides security and confidentiality for data in motion by means of encryption and access controls. It also offers benefits to the end user, such as making tunnel and network sessions resilient and optimizing streaming video and audio. • Absolute ZTNA provides a software-defined perimeter via Zero Trust Network Access, creating a context-based, logical access boundary around an application or set of applications – wherever they're hosted. It shields applications from the Internet, making them invisible to unauthorized users. Access policies are enforced at the endpoint, avoiding latency and any data transgression. • Absolute Insights™ for Network offers diagnostic and experience monitoring capabilities across endpoints and network, allowing organizations to proactively monitor, investigate, and remediate end user performance issues quickly and at scale, even on networks that are not company-owned or managed

"Amazing UI and Outstanding Tech Support"

5/5

What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

The user interface is really something great. I could go on and on about how genius this UI is, but in short, it just gives you so much control all in one place. The ability to fail over seamlessly is very helpful, especially when updating and patching servers. I can't say enough good things! Tech support is truly outstanding. I use this product daily and am so impressed with it. Updates are relatively easy to implement, but if ever I have an issue, tech support guides me to success quite quickly and easily. Integrating modifications to policies and deploying new client versions is also made very simple. Overall, remarkable product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

Literally, the only minus that I could offer is that I prefer a dark theme or setting and the Secure Access Control does not have that option. Very minor critique for sure! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good product. Good technical suppport. Worst sales and renewals in the industry"

0/5

What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

Software and technical support. No need for user-intervention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

Sales and renewals is the worst we've ever worked with. Account managers, renewal specialist, and account executives pass around responsibility like a hot potato and nothing gets done. Lead time to RENEW a license is 3-6 months. It is bad enough we are moving away from the Absolute platform to an alternative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure connection on public internet"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

I like that Absolute Secure Access helps me to get protection when my phone is connecting with public wifi, which is unreliable if not using a VPN service to protect the phone from hacker attacks. I just need to activate the VPN to protect the connection and no other complex setup is needed. They also provide unlimited bandwidth, and I don't need to keep monitoring my internet usage traffic anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

Nothing is broken or difficult with this application. It is smooth sailing from the first time I am using it until now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolute Secure Access"

5/5

What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

I like the robust security and deployment options. You can really fine tune and lock down a connection to make it very secure Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

The constant name changing and website changes. Like if I go into one of our Netmotion consoles and try to activate a license the link in the console does not go to the new website. It goes to the old one that doesn't work. Won't be an issue after I upgrade to Absolute on that console to Netmotion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a Police Department. Absolute allows us to have a secure connection that will automatically connect when an officer logs into Windows on the squad car tablet. Connection automatically reconnects itself if cell service is interrupted. With our old VPN solution you had to launch a separate APP before connecting to our network resources and software. There is nothing for the user to mess up so we don't have any trouble with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absolute Secure Access better than traditional VPN"

5/5

What do you like best about Absolute Secure Access?

The best thing about Absolute Secure Access is that you are always connected to your network. You don't even have to worry about VPN disconnect. From updates to client installs Absolute is one of the easiest solutions to keep up to date. Their customer support has been very quick to resolve all issues we have had over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?

We were a little concerned when Netmotion was going to become Absolute Secure Access. I've been through that rodeo before and things can get real messy after a switch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our fleet has Mobile Data Terminals and for years we had been using a standard VPN. I saw a demo of Absolute (it was NetMotion when we acquired it) and loved the connection and security. We tested it in a few vehicles and it worked perfectly. We ended up ditching our old VPN and installed Absolute to our entire fleet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
