My colleagues and I use it as a backup if we experience issues connecting to our VPN appliance. The biggest userbase is our Police and Fire Dept - they use it heavily in their vehicles and allows them to be very productive while on the job. **What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?** The thing I dislike about NetMotion is the occasional application adapter corruption that seems to coincide with Windows updates - this forces me to have to completely uninstall the application, as well as manually scrape the registry. I wish NetMotion had a complete uninstall utility to avoid this. **What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** Problems that have been solved revolve around the Police and Fire Depts in my organization. They're out in the field quite a bit and need a way to get onto the corporate network in their vehicles. Using cellular devices, joined with NetMotion, we've been able to solve this need. I requested a phone call to go over upgrade procedures from their help portal, I had a document within 30 mins of submitting the request. I read the short document and decided to call them and go over the document becauese I thought they had to have left details out, it was much to short and easy in my mind. A 5 min phone later they had be convinced that I wasnt missing anything and that the document was all there was to it. Having renewed my faith I went ahead and followed the document to install/migrate to my new servers. Within 30 mins I had the upgraded software on my new servers and had already tested with several clients. TLDR version; Its quick and easy to install, configuration is highly customizable, and support is top notch. **What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?** The only dislike I can really say is, everything just works...and it works so well that I very rarely have to log in to change or configure something, so when I do it takes a minute to refamiliarize myself with the interface. **Recommendations to others considering Absolute Secure Access:** Their product is great, their support is even better. The very few times I have had to contact them, they treated me like valued customer and not another number. **What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have many vehicles that require VPN access as they drive around the city, coverage is often iffy at best. They don't have to think about the technology to get the job done. With only one server name or IP address to specify, we're at the mercy of our ISP. Having 2 addresses and a client that would automatically switch when a link is down would protect us from single ISP outages and allow us to take advantage of our backup circuit. **What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have numerous clinicians in the field who need instant access to our data. With NetMotion Mobility they can roam the community helping our clients without worrying about access to vital data. They are now able to connect to internal systems without any difficulty. The only troubleshooting I need to do is to ask them if their computer is turned on. Beyond that I get no support calls having to do with connectivity. We have been using Netmotion for 10 years now and it has been rock solid. Netmotion Tech Support has also been very responsive and helpful. I have had to migrate the Netmotion Server twice over the last 10 years and each time Tech Support assisted me with the correct documentation. Migration was very simple. **What do you dislike about Absolute Secure Access?** I can't really think of any. We do not have a large installation so I do not have multiple warehouses or a need to do server clustering. **Recommendations to others considering Absolute Secure Access:** I know this was a smart choice for us: Our users back when we set this up were field workers in utility trucks that needed access to an internal work order software system. This was greatly expanded to meet with needs of the Stay-Home orders issued by the Governer. In all cases Netmotion met the challenges we in IT faced, so it was a win-win all round. However our needs were simple. You may want to do more research if you have complex needs or a large mobile work-force. **What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** Netmotion makes it simple for the END USER to seamlessly connect to our network no matter what the underlying transport is. Whether they are using their 4G/LTE connection or they have connected to WIFI, Netmotion takes care of those details in a way that is invisible to the end user. Setting up computer certificate authentication could be smoother. **Recommendations to others considering Absolute Secure Access:** Works best with a healthy PKI/certificate authority and NPS Server (at least in a Windows environment). **What problems is Absolute Secure Access solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use NetMotion Mobility to allow laptops access to our LAN regardless of their location. It lets us completely separate our WLAN from our LAN, so guests are physically isolated from our network while authorized users see all their content. It works with our Sophos UTM firewall when Windows 10 AlwaysOn access will not. It authenticates with computer certificates as well as user identity, providing a remote management connection before a user logs in. ### 47.
