## Bootstrap Reviews
  ### 1. Bootstrap Speeds Up Responsive UI with Clear Structure and Great Docs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chukwunonso N. | Lead Designer/Founder, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Bootstrap?**

I like how Bootstrap makes it easy to move from idea to a working interface quickly without getting stuck in setup. The grid system is straightforward and helps with building responsive layouts without overthinking breakpoints. The prebuilt components are also very practical, especially when you need clean, consistent UI elements fast. I also appreciate that it is well documented, so even when I step away from it for a while, it is easy to come back and pick things up again. Overall, it gives a good balance between speed, structure, and flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Bootstrap?**

One downside of Bootstrap is that it can make designs feel a bit generic if you rely too heavily on the default styles. It sometimes takes extra effort to fully customize components so they match a unique brand or design system. The class-heavy approach can also make the markup feel cluttered, especially on larger projects. In some cases, you end up overriding a lot of styles, which can feel like you are working against the framework instead of with it. It is great for speed, but not always the best fit when you need highly tailored or distinctive UI.

**What problems is Bootstrap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bootstrap solves the problem of having to build responsive layouts and common UI components from scratch every time. It provides a structured grid system and ready-made elements like buttons, forms, and navigation, which saves a lot of development time. It also helps maintain consistency across pages, especially when working on larger projects or with a team.

For me, the biggest benefit is speed and reliability. I can focus more on the user experience and functionality instead of worrying about basic layout and cross-device compatibility. It also reduces the chances of layout issues since many edge cases are already handled. Overall, it makes the development process more efficient while still giving enough flexibility to customize when needed.

**Reviewed by:** Himmat K. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Bootstrap?**

I appreciate the mobile-first approach and pre-built components of this CSS framework. It's easy to copy and implement desired components on your website and its wide usage in the industry makes it a worthwhile investment. The framework enables creation of responsive websites and there are available Bootstrap themes. Additionally, Bootstrap Studio offers a drag-and-drop interface for building beautiful websites like in WordPress.

**What do you dislike about Bootstrap?**

Bootstrap can be limiting because it results in many websites having a similar appearance due to limited customization options and a limited color scheme compared to other frameworks such as Materialize CSS, Skeleton, and Tailwind. Additionally, it is quite heavy and requires use of the full CSS file, with no option for a lightweight version with just the necessary components. For simple projects like creating forms and buttons, it may be more efficient to use custom CSS or a lightweight framework like Skeleton.

**What problems is Bootstrap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bootstrap simplifies multi-page website development with its pre-built components. This reduces custom CSS writing and speeds up the production process. I often use Bootstrap as my CSS framework and its studio to streamline my workflow.

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Bootstrap?**

I really like its mobile-first approach and secondly the pre-built components. You can simply go to their website, copy the components you like and implement them on your website. Secondly, being widely used in the industry it's worth investing your time to learn it. You can easily get a responsive website with the help of this framework. You can use the bootstrap themes to get the themes based on the bootstrap framework. And the best thing is now they have their software named bootstrap studio you can use it to make beautiful websites easily as you do in WordPress, just drag and drop.

**What do you dislike about Bootstrap?**

The most discouraging fact about bootstrap is that all the websites which use bootstrap like almost similar as there is limited customization support in bootstrap, fewer color schemes unlike there are present in other frameworks like materialize CSS, skeleton, and tailwind. And secondly, it's a bit heavy and you have to use the full CSS file, there's no option to use some light version where you have just the main components. if you just have to make a form and some buttons then it's better to use your own CSS or some lightweight framework like skeleton framework.

**Recommendations to others considering Bootstrap:**

Use your custom colors schemes to make your website unique from the websites that are on the internet and built with bootstrap.
Try to use only their classes for responsive code and utilizes instead of copying whole components.

**What problems is Bootstrap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Talking about problems, I generally work upon multi-page websites which has lots of components. So to make my production easier and fast I use bootstrap as my CSS framework. **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Bootstrap?**

If we talk about bootstrap in a broad view than overall it's a good feature to be used in webpages in order to make pages behave according to screen sizes and also just like the way they used to be. It enhances the method of styling the webpages with features and colours. It make the work easier and minimise the time required to create the pages. Overall it's the best fit to be an essential tool to be used in this era for development.

**What do you dislike about Bootstrap?**

While working on the webpages I found that bootstrap has some version related files of css and javascript that changes with some extent at every version. By this it causes a bit problems because every tag behave according to the lines written in it's css and javascript files. Apart of that sometimes it becomes more complex to handle changes in it's corresponding files. Apart of this some of it's classes require support of other classes that raises an issue. And also it's better if it starts supporting react too.

**Recommendations to others considering Bootstrap:**

It has a lot of features to describe and I had a great experience on this that makes it a prime content to be used efficiently. It makes the work easier and reduce time to built so in my opinion one could surely use it once in his developer life time.

**What problems is Bootstrap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While working with one of the best mentors in the world in samyak I was working on the website development, which requires back-end django completely based on python with the help of visual studio code as a means of intermediator. Apart of this webpages are built in HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and bootstrap. There in order to make pages lighter, load faster, responsive to every size of screen I used bootstrap that not only lighter the page but also helped me to save time in creating pages and with no extra support other than it's documentation.

Bootstrap is the prime feature for every web developer to create pages easily. It has some common CSS like of code, grid, typography, button and fonts and also some components like navs, pagination, labels, jumbotron, glyphicons and so on. If we talk about some side features than it has modals, popovers, tooltips etc.

**What do you dislike about Bootstrap?**

Apart of some good features it does had some big loss for the companies like less financial discipline, minimise the rate of growth, increases misunderstandings between focused investors and founders. By using it one could loss control over the company. And when mixing some extra styling and functionality to the classes than it shows compatibility issues with different versions of bootstrap designed differently.

**Recommendations to others considering Bootstrap:**

It works completely on classes and libraries and div tags a lot that makes it a bit heavy to use. It holds larger css and java script files in order to hold content at there position. And this would result in time to load files and lag the webpages to load at some extent. Apart of this bootstrap is growing it's market which means everyone is using it today that makes it challenging to customise the files in different possible ways so that the website doesn't looks like the same from each other.

It will also help to show content in specific manner across android and iphone devices. It helped me to complete my website's webpages on time. And also it has a lot of predesigned templates to download and use directly that has bootstrap css and java scripts fixed at position required. Bootstrap as we know is one thing that cannot be challenged in web development in today's era, but still nothing can be perfect. It also has some limitations such as it allows us to do this if you want to include React or Angular js in library files. If we try to use different version bootstrap files at once, it will be difficult to identify which one is working, but the bad thing is that no one else will work, which will define the whole process rules.

**Recommendations to others considering Bootstrap:**

I must say that I love this functionality and additional beauty that bootstrap provides to the webpages. Among with this it is the best known way to make pages responsive in nature.

Also it is the best thing that I have looked at some codes to reduce the time and effort in my technical carrier.

**What do you like best about Bootstrap?**

Without doubt we all know that this is the best concept of web development. Coding HTML syntax, adding style, and providing proper functionality to it using Java Script is a kind of consumption process. But it is truncated due to bootstrap because it uses the underlying class as they were. These classes have their own style and methodology that can be further adapted but this helps reduce the effort and time to write code effectively.

**What do you dislike about Bootstrap?**

As I have discussed many properties and benefits of using it. But apart from those advantages it also presents some investigations and issues when importing classes into HTML.
This raises a conflicting issue with CSS files used for common HTML code. Using Java script attached to the class is problematic because it also enables the property where it is not necessary to use it.
Another limitation of Bootstrap is that it does not support React and Angular that are used to add the effective productivity of webpages such as Web 2.0.

**Recommendations to others considering Bootstrap:**

As discussed I have this feature, it is difficult for anyone to write the entire code line by line rather than using bootstrap. Therefore, it is clearly visible that it is recommended for all types of developers at any stage of development.

**What problems is Bootstrap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few days ago I was offered a project to design a complete e-commerce website. But I was given only 2 weeks to complete the project. At that time I was able to make it within the time limit due to bootstrap. I have used a lot of libraries and classes to create HTML layouts and functionality. This is an amazing concept that helped me easily collaborate with the django backend and also provides quick changes as per requirements.
