I use Vena for budgeting and forecasting. I appreciate how it easily creates our reports and organizes all our data. I like that it is customizable and love the auto mapping when creating reports. As a beginner user, I am able to use the system like an experienced user because it's a well-built UI.

From a developer/technical operations standpoint, it is Vena's management of the "Excel problem" that is the biggest attribute for My finance team categorically does not want to get rid of Excel and for the longest time that meant my team was left with disjointed data, broken macros and a variety of CSV dumps. Vena does just that by functioning as a brilliant bridge. It preserves an existing user interface that the finance team is very comfortable with while linking all of the Excel work to a database that remains secure and centralized. It saves a lot of manual data wrangling that we would otherwise have to do. Vena's workflow automation automates the routing, tracking and approval process, rather than writing custom scripts to consolidate different departmental budgets. The data is easy to fit into our reporting dashboards and I know it's not fraudulent, since it isn't from someone's local hard drive! In short, it translates software engineering concepts like version control, shared databases into the finance world without asking them to familiarise themselves with a new, daunting UI.
