# Can i use this to monitor unresponsive websites after a set time?
We were able set a buffer of (x) min or so where we found hosting providers seem to be unreachable from time to time and these were determined as low/false alarms. so we were able to increase our alert threshold and only after an unresponsive site was down for more than 10 min, then alert us as this was an issue. It helped identify actual issues before the customer knew about it and before we needed to cause a panic.
