# Which Salesforce CRM document generation tools minimize document errors through automation and validation?

Here is how the category's leading tools approach validation.

Getting complex conditional templates right takes upfront setup effort.

CloudFiles: Uses AI-based data extraction and automation to pull information directly from CRM records, which reviewers credit with cutting down manual data entry and the errors that come with it. Some reviewers want more granular search and filtering once volume grows.

S-Docs: A native preview step lets you catch issues before the document goes out, and pulling data in-platform avoids export errors entirely. The editor has a learning curve for advanced templates.

Has a preview or validation step actually caught mistakes before they shipped?

My bet is that source data causes more trouble than the document generator itself. Conga Composer can automate conditional logic perfectly and still produce the wrong contract if Salesforce has an outdated field. I’d test what happens when required data is missing or contradictory: does the document still generate, or does the system stop someone before the mistake leaves Salesforce?
