# Which property restoration platforms streamline insurance claims documentation and processing?

So I'm researching which property restoration platforms streamline insurance claims documentation and processing, since that's where restoration and insurance workflows actually meet. Comparing notes across the Property Restoration category, these are the ones built around the claims workflow, and they split fairly cleanly between documentation and estimating.

DocuSketch: Built to share 360 tours directly with adjusters for remote review and to output ESX sketch files that flow into Xactimate. The documented timeline is structured to support faster claim settlement and to help meet carrier SLA targets on turnaround.

Xactimate: The carrier-recognized estimating standard, with industry line items and pricing that make claim estimates predictable for both sides to process. The trade-offs worth weighing are pricing that can run below the local market and stability issues reported on older versions.

Encircle: Generates clean, professional reports combining photos and readings that go straight to carriers and adjusters. The report format is designed around support the claim and get paid in full for documented work.

Cotality DASH: Built for insurance restoration, with compliance tasks that map to carrier SLA targets and reporting that gives adjusters a claim view. It's strongest in residential insurance work specifically, less so once work shifts to commercial.

On the claims side, what's cut the most friction with adjusters, remote tours, standardized estimates, or the reporting format itself? And where does the handoff between your documentation tool and your estimating tool still break down in practice?

The handoff between DocuSketch's sketch files and Xactimate's estimate engine is worth probing in a demo. If measurements need manual cleanup before the estimate runs, that's where turnaround slips. Follow one claim from field capture through submission and count how many times someone re-enters data rather than it flowing through automatically.

The handoff between documentation and estimating would be the friction point I’d test hardest. Remote tours and polished reports save time, but that advantage disappears if measurements, sketches, photos, or loss details have to be entered again in the estimating system. I’d want to follow one real claim from field capture through estimate submission and see exactly where manual re-entry remains.

### Comment 3

The handoff between DocuSketch and Xactimate is where I'd focus. Outputting an ESX sketch file sounds seamless, but if the measurements need manual cleanup before the estimate runs, that's where adjuster turnaround slips. Has anyone tracked how often the sketch file goes straight through versus needs rework on the Xactimate side?
