Engineering lists a weldment as one item. The floor needs plate sizes, cut lengths and consumables. So &quot;no manual handoff&quot; can&#39;t mean both teams share one BOM. What it should mean is that the translation between the two is stored in the system and reused, instead of living in someone&#39;s head and a spreadsheet. That&#39;s the real payoff: when an ECO hits the engineering side, the change flows through the same stored translation, instead of someone redoing the conversion by memory and hoping they did it the same way as last time.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
