&lt;p&gt;I’d lean toward Checkmk for a small IT team because automatic discovery could take a lot of the manual work out of keeping workstations visible as devices change. For me, the agent burden becomes manageable if deployment and updates can be handled centrally rather than touching each workstation individually.&lt;/p&gt;

If you want one tool that actually covers both servers and workstations without feeling like workstations were an afterthought, it&#39;s worth testing how agent deployment works before you commit. Some platforms are great for servers but the workstation agent rollout is tedious or requires a separate process. Try deploying to 10 endpoints first and see how painful it is before you go all in.
