&lt;p&gt;The biggest gain should be eliminating manual part and revision updates between engineering systems and the catalog. I’d still expect edge cases around renamed parts, superseded components, or incomplete metadata, so I’d want exception reporting to catch anything the sync misses.&lt;/p&gt;
