# What cloud security monitoring tools are worth using for teams that are still learning their cloud environment and need to reduce configuration complexity during onboarding?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2 experts! For teams still learning their cloud environment, I’m trying to work out which cloud security monitoring tools reduce configuration complexity and are worth it during onboarding. </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">On G2's own implementation data, the fastest to go live are Coro and Wiz: roughly a month, and they're also the ones teams most often stand up themselves, without leaning on a vendor's services team. That "can we set it up ourselves" part matters as much as the raw speed. </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Across <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/cloud-security-monitoring-and-analytics">Cloud Security Monitoring and Analytics</a>, here's how I read the field on onboarding:</p><ul>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/wiz-wiz/reviews"><strong>Wiz</strong></a><strong>:</strong> Agentless, live in about a month, and roughly 80% of teams set it up in-house per G2 Data. The graph also hands you a map of an environment you're still learning, which is half the battle early on.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/coro-cybersecurity/reviews"><strong>Coro Cybersecurity</strong></a><strong>: </strong>The fastest tier and built around simple defaults for leaner teams. Least to configure. Broad rather than deep, which is often the right early trade.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-defender-for-cloud/reviews"><strong>Microsoft Defender for Cloud</strong></a><strong>: </strong>Native, so on Azure it's basically already on. Free tier to start, and a secure score that gives you a prioritized checklist instead of a blank page.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/sentinelone-singularity-cloud-security/reviews"><strong>SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Security</strong></a>: Goes live fast too, but worth knowing most teams get there with SentinelOne's services team, not solo. Fast, but more vendor-led than self-serve.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">One thing in the data made me sit up: some of these are fast because they're genuinely simple, others fast because the vendor drives the setup. &lt;p&gt;I think the self-serve vs. vendor-led distinction is one of the most useful ways to evaluate onboarding. &quot;Time to go live&quot; by itself doesn&#39;t tell you whether your team actually understands the environment once the implementation is finished.&lt;/p&gt;
