# What are the top-rated association management platforms for handling membership renewals, events, and dues in one record?

I am looking for the top-rated association management platforms for handling membership renewals, events and dues in one record, and would value input from people running this with a very small team.

The failure mode here is familiar: membership in one system, events in another, dues reconciled by hand in a spreadsheet, and nobody sure which record is right at renewal time. Three that come up most:

Novi AMS (4.8) holds members, events, dues and financials in one system with a two-way QuickBooks Online sync, and a member-facing dashboard where people update their own details and register themselves. Its review base is almost entirely small-staff organisations, which is both the fit and the limit.

GrowthZone (4.6) combines the membership database with the website, events and communications, so event pages and member records update together. Reviewers mention modules imported from ChamberMaster are harder to restyle, and performance can lag on restricted networks.

iMIS (4.2) is the long-established option for larger associations needing deeper configuration across membership, fundraising and events.

Dues reconciliation would probably be the last manual process I’d expect to disappear. Renewals get messy when payments, membership status, event activity, and accounting records don’t update together. I’d test one renewal from invoice through payment and QuickBooks reconciliation to see whether the member record stays current without anyone updating a spreadsheet afterward.
