# Top platforms for proactive conversational support

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I’m exploring <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/conversational-support">conversational tools</a> that can trigger messages based on user behavior (like time on page, repeat visits, drop-offs, etc.), but still feel natural and not spammy.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">A few I’ve come across:</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/fin-by-intercom/reviews"><strong>Intercom</strong></a>: seems really strong for behavior-based messaging</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/drift/reviews"><strong>Drift</strong></a>: good for proactive sales, not sure about support use cases</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/freshworks-freshchat/reviews"><strong>Freshchat</strong></a>: has triggers + campaigns, curious how well they work</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/tidio/reviews"><strong>Tidio</strong></a>:  simple automation flows, maybe good for quick setups</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">For those using these toold do proactive messages actually improve engagement, or do users just ignore them?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Trying to find that balance between helpful and intrusive. </p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

Proactive support works when it feels timely and relevant. When it’s not, it just feels like the brand found a new way to interrupt people.
