Honestly Guardium is a serious, well-established platform, but it&#39;s worth being clear about what it actually is. It discovers and classifies sensitive data, but that sits inside a much broader data-security and activity-monitoring platform, real-time monitoring of who accesses data across hybrid cloud, on-prem and SaaS, plus policy enforcement and compliance reporting. So for a privacy team, it&#39;s genuinely strong if you also want continuous monitoring and audit-ready compliance, not just discovery. The honest caveat: if discovery accuracy is truly your only need, Guardium may be more platform (and more cost and complexity) than you want, it&#39;s an enterprise heavyweight. And discovery accuracy really depends on your specific data stores, so I&#39;d run a proof of concept against your actual structured and unstructured sources and measure false positives and misses. Is monitoring and compliance part of the goal, or purely finding and classifying data?
