# How do E-Filing tools compare for law practices that prioritize simplicity over advanced features and competitive pricing?

It comes down to whether you want a focused filing tool or the broader platform.

The trade-off here reads like a single decision, but it's really being made against two different timelines. Overpaying for depth you don't use yet is an immediate, visible cost, you feel it every month on the invoice. Under-provisioning for depth you'll need in two years is invisible until the day you actually hit it, and then it's not a feature request, it's a full migration off InfoTrack onto something else entirely, since a focused filing tool doesn't have much of an internal upgrade path the way a broader platform does. A firm that's genuinely simple today and expects to stay that way is well served by the lean option; a firm that's simple today mostly because it's small, and expects to add a practice area or two, is trading a smaller bill now for a harder switch later.
