# Accenture vs Cognizant: which is the better UKG consulting partner for payroll migration and compliance?

Accenture vs Cognizant: which is the better UKG consulting partner for payroll migration and compliance?

Both are real UKG partners, both handle enterprise payroll migration and compliance at scale, and on G2 they land in similar territory, with neither standing out the way a focused boutique does.

Where they tend to differ:

Accenture is transformation-led. It is strongest when the payroll migration is one piece of a bigger HR overhaul, with heavy change management and broad industry reach. The trade-off is premium pricing, and UKG is one practice among many.

Cognizant is delivery-led. It brings large-scale application and IT muscle, deep experience in regulated industries like healthcare and banking that helps in compliance, and usually a more cost-competitive rate through offshore delivery. The trade-off is that it leans more IT-services than HR-transformation.

Neither is a UKG specialist, which matters most during payroll config and parallel runs. If compliance depth is the actual requirement, a boutique will outperform both on the work that directly touches pay rules and audit trails.
