[Sneaky auto-renewal clause in ZoomInfo contract](/discussions/sneaky-auto-renewal-clause-in-zoominfo-contract)

Apparently ZoomInfo includes a sneaky auto renewal clause in their contract that was never mentioned in sales conversations and they seem to be railroading us into renewing another year against our will. I'm really surprised by this business practice. The've been a useful platform for us, but the price tag is beyond what makes sense for a company our size. I would hope they have enough confidence in their value that they wouldn't have to engage in strong-arming their customers to renew. Anyone else have an issue with this? Suggestions for a solution?

I am having the same issues with them. However, they are in violation of the auto renewal act in my state. The contract is void and unenforceable. You should check this in your state.

[Are there plans to increase the functionality of the mobile app? A sales team generally hate admin and tend to neglect it, yet its critical to keep the rest of the business in the know. As they generally use their mobile devices more than other devices I would like to promote use of the Mobile app more but the functionality is currently quite limited ie attaching pictures to tasks/note. Logging and tracking through the Outlook Sales Tool integration is also not as efficient as I had hoped. It currently only logs comms to the last 5 open deals a contact is associated with and in our business, this doesnt work. Having to go back to associate and disassociate comms to deals negates using the tool to save time.

I have been frustrated by the limitations of the mobile app as well. I had a phone conference with their team and improvements are coming but they will be incremental. One new item is the HubSpot keyboard for iOS that will allow better access and use of meeting links, snippets, docs, and quotes from the mobile app. The mobile app still has a lot of catching up to do. I feel like they need to imbed with an outside sales team to discover how it needs to operate.

I can recommend to have a look at Salesflare's CRM instead. It has both an Outlook sidebar and mobile app that come with 100% of the functionality of the web app, which works really amazing for me. If it weren't for Salesflare, our sales team still wouldn't be using any CRM.

We have pitched SharpSpring to a former client and a prospect so far. They have shown interest, but haven't fully committed yet. The goal is to sell SharpSpring to a few prospects/clients so we get consistent monthly recurring revenue, and essentially get SharpSpring for free.

In our 6+ years of selling SharpSpring, it's not all about the software. You need to understand the clients business model, sales process and existing in-bound marketing / lead-gen strategies so that you can show in a live demo how your prospect will customize and leverage the platform. If the prospect doesn't visually see how their pain points will be solved, it will be difficult to close the deal. As for the 30-day free trial concept, I don't believe in this. To setup SharpSpring or any integrated marketing automation and CRM/Sales platform correctly, you need 30-60 days for the setup/training phase.

As a client who purchased SharpSpring, I can tell you that the decision to purchase came from a need for information and functionality that the agency couldn't delivery otherwise: visitor identification, life of the lead, pipeline inventories, etc. (In my first role, I never touched SharpSpring directly, it was all handled by the agency.) So be aware of all the stakeholders, their various pain points, and deliver solutions accordingly. Good luck!

SharpSpring allows you to put a new client for no cost for 30 days. You will have to invest a little of time in account setup, but if you can run a few campaigns through during that time period and show them results, then it might be easier for them to sign on the proverbial dotted line. I also frequently conduct demos to prospects in the live system (showing another client's instance and results, with the client's permission, of course!)

It's like the old hanging a picture analogy. People don't want the drill but they need the drill to get the hole. So speak in terms of the results that your prospect will receive as a result of the SharpSpring software. How will you use the platform to help deliver your client results? An exception to this is the CRM. We had a prospect come back to us after hearing about the CRM and essentially sold themselves our services because they had a strong need for a CRM to replace several CRM's they were using.

I have invested with some scam brokers in the past, and the story is as horrific as the ones i have read because i went through the ordeal myself. Yes it is possible to retrieve your stolen bitcoins. I never believed in bitcoin recovery because I was made to understand that it is not possible. But sometime in February I fell for a binary options scam which promised a higher return and I lost close to $75,000.
