Hi Joaquim, We have some customers who have approached us with the same questions, and our expert team shall try to answer all of them: 1) Helping IT understand Celonis vs BI: BI tools are great at helping someone understand how a KPI's value varies across business dimensions. Celonis goes further - it helps businesses understand how a process truly runs across the complex systems landscape and so explains how process variations impact your KPIs. BI provides a snapshot of your KPI performance, while Celonis' process mining capabilities uncover the execution gaps in the process that impact your KPIs. Additionally, Celonis closes the insight to execution loop by leveraging AI and Workflow Automation to remove those critical execution gaps. These are capabilities BI simply does not offer. 2) Help business users understand how Celonis' fits into a complex application architecture: Celonis has been deployed over 2,000 times into Fortune 5000 companies' complex IT architectures. We've found the keys to delivering quantified value in each deployment are a) the business process, b) the employees who execute that process and c) the desired outcome of the process. First, start the project by engaging the employees who execute that target process today. Ask them which parts of the process cause the most pain, and make it difficult for them to do their job effectively. Then show them Celonis' view of their process, helping to validate their concerns and often also exposing additional execution gaps they didn't know were getting in their way. Then show how Celonis helps remove these gaps and makes it easier for all employees to achieve their targets. You can even use the analogy of Google Maps - Celonis is like Google Maps, helping your employees avoid traffic jams before they run into them. 3) How Celonis minimizes the complexity of tools for users: Similar to the answer to question (2) above, ensure that IT is in the conversations with the business users, and they can see how Celonis makes the business users' job better. Help IT understand that Celonis is a guide to execution for business users, and not just 'another analytical tool' for analysts. Additionally, your 'end-to-end' processes often run across multiple systems, and Celonis can provide a complete real-time visualization of how each process runs. IT can (for the first time) see every path that data follows across their systems - and where the 'gaps' have an adverse effect on business performance or security. Hi Christoph, Our experience shows that a detailed project plan with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and a timeline for all activities support both implementation and validation of our customer’s projects. It is highly recommended to work either with the Celonis Process Mining Consultants (PMC) or a certified Partner on the technical implementation to ensure it becomes a success. That way, you receive expert support in connecting systems and can ask any technical questions arising. Additionally, we recommend ensuring senior executive support for prioritizing the implementation activities as well as receiving the necessary resources for a successful implementation. IT support is critical during the implementation to set up the technical connection. During the validation phase, close involvement of the Business Unit is essential to build trust in the tool from the beginning, and to ensure accuracy of the implemented processes and metrics. Further, it is helpful to have someone on the team who has access to the whole source system, to be able to cross-check individual cases against the system if necessary. We recommend taking the validation from the beginning very seriously and checking single activities and tables in detail (e.g. if all information is making sense and if the naming of activities is logical). Both the process model and the analyses have to be validated. The partner or PMC can then also provide you with a detailed validation exercise to support this.
