Question on: Bravura Pass
What kind of account is used for VPN integration and why?
A VPN connection is required to enable the user’s PC to re-authenticate to the domain after a successful password reset, to cause the user’s locally cached password to be updated. To do this, a VPN connection to a subnet that contains a domain controller and ability to reach the Hitachi ID Password Manager web service (i.e., HTTPS on port 443) are required. These sessions are normally short lived (typically far less than 5 minutes). A shared account and password used in the client software MSI installer, but where the account can only access the above network resources and is time-limited is typically used. https://hitachi-id.com
