### Introducing G2's New Category for Event Networking and Matchmaking

In 2020, the event industry responded to the COVID-19 pandemic with an unprecedented pivot to virtual events. The new strategies and technologies required to support this transformation resulted in a new category on G2 for virtual event platforms. Since its launch, that category has experienced exponential growth in products and reviews—and it continues to grow, with 174 products and more than 3,500 reviews as of this writing.

Question on: Whova
[We really liked Whova, but their customer service is poor. Is there a comparable service to try?](/discussions/we-really-liked-whova-but-their-customer-service-is-poor-is-there-a-comparable-service-to-try)

For our conference attendees, the Whova Web App and Mobile App worked well. We had some technical issues with sound on certain browsers, but we were able to find and suggest workarounds. Where it really fell apart was when we had to contact customer support regarding a change they made to a service on the platform which restricted our ability to allow additional attendees to view the recorded sessions post-conference. Without going into much detail, it was something that was allowed previously and we were not notified of this change which happened after we signed a contract. It was a poor business decision to be as rigid as they were with an existing customer. So... I am looking for a replacement service that promotes networking and sponsor/exhibitor booths. I am also looking for the ability to run registration on our own. One of G2's comparable services was EventBrite, which I have used before and it does not have all these specific abilities (that I am aware). I am not looking for a sales pitch, but an opinion from a fellow administrator of a conference that is willing to share their experience.

Hi Marvin, we have introduced a new UI design, with the latest touch and we can customized the platform as per your requests to give it a unique feel. Main functionalities remain the same, but we can tweak around some parts of the platform.
