Raiser's Edge is no longer a supported product by Blackbaud. Raiser's Edge NXT is an updated suite of products sold by Blackbaud. The combination can vary depending on your account executive. It will always include two "versions" of Raiser's Edge, the webview and the database view. These communicate data back and forth to each other, but not always immediately. Not all data is accessible unless you use both systems. Webview can be accessed from any browser while database view must be from a device using Citrix to connect to Blackbaud's server. It will also include a $600 yearly payment enablement fee as Raiser's Edge NXT can accept payments. This is standard now across all Blackbaud products that can accept payments, whether or not the customer does so on their platform.

They have created a very user friendly platform, and the management and processing gets the funds from donors to your cause in a way that meets the needs of all stakeholders (event/charity admin, team leaders, participants, donors). They continue to adjust and improve their platform as well as expand their service - beyond what I/we have used yet. And they do this for a very reasonable surcharge. We've tried a few other things including our own in-house solution to peer-to-peer fundraising and they are our preference by far. So, yes, I'd say it is "legit".
