It’s been over six months since G2 published its 2021 digital trends series. That means more than half a year ago, my fellow analysts and I put our most overconfident hats on and called some shots for our respective B2B software markets.

[Which business process management platforms are rated highest for reducing implementation time and ensuring user adoption?](/discussions/which-business-process-management-platforms-are-rated-highest-for-reducing-implementation-time-and-ensuring-user-adoption)

I’m reviewing which [business process management platforms](https://www.g2.com/categories/business-process-management) are rated highest for reducing implementation time and ensuring user adoption. The balance matters because a fast rollout does not mean much if regular users never adopt the tool.

A few[](https://www.g2.com/categories/business-process-management)platforms stand out:

**Microsoft Power Automate** has a G2 Score of 98 overall, **Laserfiche** has a G2 Score of 78 with a 4.7-star rating and nearly 1,250 reviews, and **Jotform Workflows** has a G2 Score of 74 with a 4.5-star rating.

- [**Laserfiche**](https://www.g2.com/products/laserfiche/reviews) **:** Reviewers describe it as easy to train users on without heavy technical language.
- [**Jotform Workflows**](https://www.g2.com/products/jotform-workflows/reviews) **:** Strong for quick setup and low training requirements.
- [**Kissflow**](https://www.g2.com/products/kissflow/reviews) **:** Helps users follow guided workflow steps with checkboxes and explanations.
- [**Microsoft Power Automate**](https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-power-automate/reviews) **:** Low-friction for Microsoft 365 teams, though advanced flows require more technical skill.

For this roundup, I’m wondering which matters more in practice: time to first automation or long-term user adoption.

Those two goals quietly fight each other. The fastest implementations are the most templated, which is great until the template doesn't match how your team works, and adoption tanks precisely because it went live fast. Teams that nail both go narrow first, one real process end to end, get people using it, then expand. What's the one process you'd start with? Trying to boil the ocean on day one is the usual adoption killer.

[Which BPM tools are worth using for a team that wants quick implementation and a platform that does not take months of setup before you see value?](/discussions/which-bpm-tools-are-worth-using-for-a-team-that-wants-quick-implementation-and-a-platform-that-does-not-take-months-of-setup-before-you-see-value)

I’m putting together research on which [BPM tools](https://www.g2.com/categories/business-process-management) are worth using for a team that wants quick implementation and a platform that does not take months of setup before you see value. For this angle, I’m looking at time to first useful workflow, not just total feature depth.

Here’s the speed-to-value split I’m seeing:

- **Fast form-to-workflow setup** : [Jotform Workflows](https://www.g2.com/products/jotform-workflows/reviews) is often described as quick to launch for approvals and form-based processes.
- **Fast no-code automation** : [Cflow](https://www.g2.com/products/cflow/reviews) gets credit for visual workflow building and fewer manual follow-ups.
- **Fast app creation** : [Quixy](https://www.g2.com/products/quixy/reviews) helps teams move from idea to running workflow without external developers.
- **Fast approval rollout** : [Kissflow](https://www.g2.com/products/kissflow/reviews) is described as straightforward to adopt with manageable admin overhead.
- **Fastest Microsoft setup** : [Microsoft Power Automate](https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-power-automate/reviews) can be quick with standard Microsoft connectors.

I’d like to know which tool helped teams prove value quickly enough to keep leadership interested.

Fast setup and long-term fit pull against each other more than vendors admit. The tools you stand up in a week are often the ones you outgrow in a year, and the ones that flex forever take months to configure. Neither is wrong, it depends on urgency. What's driving the timeline, a real deadline or just impatience? If it's real, start templated and accept you'll migrate later. That's a strategy, not a failure.

[What BPM platforms do teams actually keep using and improving after the initial rollout rather than abandoning once the novelty wears off?](/discussions/what-bpm-platforms-do-teams-actually-keep-using-and-improving-after-the-initial-rollout-rather-than-abandoning-once-the-novelty-wears-off)

I’m exploring what BPM platforms teams actually keep using and improving after the initial rollout, rather than abandoning them once the novelty wears off. Early implementation feedback is useful, but I’m more interested in what still works six to twelve months later.

From the[](https://www.g2.com/categories/business-process-management)[business process management](https://www.g2.com/categories/business-process-management)[tools ](https://www.g2.com/categories/business-process-management)I’m reviewing, I’m seeing a few retention patterns:

- [**Kissflow**](https://www.g2.com/products/kissflow/reviews) seems to stick when teams keep expanding workflows and running daily office routines inside it.
- [**Microsoft Power Automate**](https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-power-automate/reviews) works for teams that keep adding automations as Microsoft 365 needs evolve.
- [**Laserfiche**](https://www.g2.com/products/laserfiche/reviews) appears useful when one platform can support many processes and document use cases.
- [**Nintex**](https://www.g2.com/products/nintex-nintex/reviews) fits organizations focused on visibility, documentation, and continuous optimization.
- [**Jotform Workflows**](https://www.g2.com/products/jotform-workflows/reviews) works for smaller teams that expand from one workflow into adjacent processes.

What signals have you seen that a BPM tool will keep growing inside a team rather than fade after rollout?

Adoption death is real and it almost never comes from missing features. It comes from the tool being slightly more annoying than the spreadsheet it replaced. The ones that stick are where using the process is genuinely easier than going around it. So the question isn't which platform is most powerful, it's which one your least-enthusiastic teammate still opens in month six. Have you watched the skeptics use it, or only the champions?
