What do you like best about Zurmo?

What I appreciate most are Zurmo’s configurable custom fields and practical task reminder functions, which fit our environmental non‑profit workflows. We build custom fields to log donor giving tiers, grant compliance notes and volunteer participation details for our river cleanup projects. Task alerts notify our team to follow‑up with major donors and schedule community outreach activities. What do you dislike about Zurmo?

My main pain points are underdeveloped reporting functions and unstable large‑dataset exports. When compiling formal impact deliverables for our conservation grants, Zurmo cannot generate ready‑to‑submit grant reports. Exporting full donor and volunteer datasets often produces messy files. Our program staff must spend hours reworking data inside spreadsheets. Without internal IT support, this manual reformatting drains time that we would rather allocate toward managing our on‑the‑ground river restoration volunteer crews. What problems is Zurmo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zurmo solves our prior issue of fragmented donor, grantee and volunteer information spread across separate spreadsheets. Previously, locating donor interaction history for our conservation projects was slow and error‑prone. Now all key contacts and activity logs sit centralized inside the CRM. We can track donor outreach timelines and volunteer event planning more consistently. Even so, those benefits are partially offset; we still need to manually rework exported data to satisfy strict grant reporting requirements for our funding partners.
