"Streamlined Lead Management but Needs Better Integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Zapla?

What I love most about Zapla is its no-code automation and customizable multi-client lead pipeline system, which perfectly fixes the messy lead management problems our Hamburg marketing agency faced daily. Before switching from ZemNeo AI CRM and raw Google Sheets, we had absolutely no standardized way to separate leads for our different German business clients. We once ran parallel lead generation campaigns for a local industrial equipment supplier and a Hamburg architectural firm. Back then, we sorted leads purely by spreadsheet tabs, and my junior teammate accidentally mixed two client’s prospect lists together. We almost sent industrial service promotional emails to architecture clients, which would have caused a serious client complaint and damaged our agency reputation. After switching to Zapla, I can build independent lead stages, exclusive client tags and automated sorting rules for every single client project with zero coding skills. As someone in charge of email marketing and campaign segmentation, this is a game-changer for our 11–50-person team with no dedicated CRM developer. For every new landing page lead generated for our German clients, Zapla automatically tags the corresponding client brand and classifies leads by their inquiry intention, completely avoiding cross-client data mixing. Besides pipeline automation, the shared team contact records and precise multi-condition filtering are extremely practical for my daily Twilio SendGrid campaign work. All team members can update lead qualification status, customer inquiry notes and campaign feedback on the same profile. No more critical client lead information locked in one colleague’s private files. When I need to launch re-engagement newsletters or targeted nurture campaigns, I can combine multiple filters like “marketing qualified”, “opened previous emails” and “German local prospect” to extract ultra-precise audience groups in seconds. This saves me hours of manual spreadsheet sorting every week, makes our multi-client campaign work orderly and stable, and greatly reduces human error in our daily marketing workflows. What do you dislike about Zapla?

The biggest downsides of Zapla all tie directly to my core email marketing workflow with Twilio SendGrid, creating constant repetitive work and avoidable risks in our multi-client campaign operations. First of all, its native email marketing function is basically unusable for formal client campaigns. It only supports simple internal team reminder emails, with no professional newsletter templates, no spam score detection, and no email rendering preview for German-language content. Last month, I created a customized German promotional email copy for a local furniture retail client. I had no way to test whether special German umlauts and long marketing subject lines would display normally in Outlook or Gmail inside Zapla. I had to blindly export the lead list and import it to SendGrid for testing, which wasted a lot of preparation time. Worse still, there is no native integration with Twilio SendGrid, forcing me to rely entirely on manual CSV export and import for every campaign. During a peak campaign for a Hamburg logistics client recently, I exported a 600+ lead list from Zapla, but massive German name and address encoding errors occurred. Garbled characters appeared all over the file, and I had to manually check, delete and correct every faulty entry one by one, delaying our scheduled email send time by nearly an hour. In addition, the system has incomplete German localization. All advanced automation and pipeline configuration menus remain in English. Our junior team members who are not fluent in English once mistakenly modified client lead stage rules, causing a batch of valid qualified leads to be misclassified. What’s more, our data migration from ZemNeo AI CRM was extremely cumbersome. Mass duplicate contacts and distorted German characters appeared in the imported data, and I spent a whole workday manually deduplicating and cleaning data. All these flaws add unnecessary workload and operational risks to our daily multi-client marketing work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
