"Essential for GDPR Compliance in German Manufacturing"

What do you like best about Xact?

The biggest advantage for our Stuttgart-based digital transformation team is Xact’s regionally optimized security stack built exclusively around BSI IT-Grundschutz and German GDPR mandates. Hosting all workforce and survey data within German regional servers eliminates Schrems II cross-border transfer risks, so we no longer waste weeks drafting extra data transfer agreements for manufacturing customers. Its stable native API connections reliably link production tracking and HR datasets, drastically reducing the constant CSV formatting errors we dealt with on older tools. What saves me the most project hours is the tamper-resistant auto audit logging; every data view, import and export is permanently recorded, and full log sets can be exported in minutes to submit to state data protection authorities without manually compiling records from multiple disconnected systems. What do you dislike about Xact?

There are no out-of-the-box connectors for widely used German industry software including SAP Business One manufacturing ERP and DATEV HR payroll suites. Every client integration requires custom script development, which extends project timelines by several days each deployment. The CSV upload checker only catches basic syntax mistakes, it cannot flag duplicate department ID codes that corrupt our client’s consolidated workforce datasets after import. Audit log filtering functionality is overly basic—there is no option to split and export logs by individual user or team groups, which forces us to sift through thousands of irrelevant entries during formal GDPR audit reviews. What problems is Xact solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before implementing Xact, we ran separate disconnected systems for operational surveys and workforce data, with no centralized compliance controls. Manual CSV data handoffs created duplicate staff records and inconsistent datasets, while our previous tool stored data outside the EU, triggering endless compliance follow-ups from regulators. Xact’s local German data residency, built-in audit trails and standardized API syncs eliminate most manual reconciliation work. I spend far less time drafting compliance paperwork and assembling audit evidence, allowing our team to deliver faster, regulation-aligned SaaS rollouts to manufacturing and service industry clients.
