I like the system’s simplicity and its user-friendly interface. I also appreciate that it stays focused solely on Health and Safety, rather than branching into other areas.

Since adding features such as the contractor gateway, permits, and inductions, it has helped speed up productivity by removing endless paperwork and reducing the need for face-to-face inductions that can take up to an hour at a time. Using the Permits feature also helps me keep track of what’s been raised, what’s currently live, and where it’s being used. The photo feature is useful too, as it helps provide evidence should anything go wrong.

The AI in photos is okay, but it rarely meets what’s required and sometimes comes across as too generic. I don’t use this function often, although it does have its purpose in some areas.

Our biggest gripe with Work Wallet is the inductions process. When operatives need to provide evidence of competencies (i.e., CSCS cards), they have to enter the date taken, which isn’t relevant and is time-consuming. Operatives also need to take a picture of the front and back, but they can only upload one image at a time. This means they end up entering the date taken and completing the same steps four times, which doesn’t help speed things up—especially for people with low IT skills.

Toolbox talks also don’t seem to push through to the contractor gateway. It would help if a restriction could be added so that all operatives must complete the TBT before they can clock out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
